Problems like these are most often the effect of the video card and the
video drivers.
I have NVIDIA GeForce2 MX (I think), DirectX 9, resolution 1152x864, 32 bit
colour, updated drivers, and absolutely no problems with video or saving.
Make sure you use 32 bit colour, it seems the software needs it. You could
also try a lower resolution for LDD (run the 'Preferences' choice from the
start menu.) - when saving, LDD is creating an image of your model, maybe
it's getting too large?

| (...) Well I think I agree that it is my video driver but this is my beef... I run some fairly graphics intensive games with no problem, nothing super big graphics wise but WarCraft isn't a cupcake either. I don't see LEGO Digital Designer requiring (...) (20 years ago, 12-Nov-04, to lugnet.lego)
