Amongst my elements for the spiral staircase, I note that there may be two
kinds of stair elements: one with approx. 1/2 the overhang of the other
which is itself quite wide. I am not sure that this is a defect per se, as
I am pretty sure all that is intended with this design is to make a full
circle spiral in 16 stairs - which it does, and then some.
My beef is that the stairs do not hold their position with any degree of
friction, but move freely if they are touched even slightly.
Defective -- no. Deplorable design -- yes.
I have two or three of these stairways so far and that will probably be
plenty for me -- I am not sure I shall ever use these stairways as designed.
I might even end up selling them if I ever get motivated enough to put up a
brickbay shop.

| (...) I think you miss my point? The ones with the _l_ point away from the triangle are the ones that wont over hang or slide to far. The ones with the groove pointing toward the triangle are the ones that really only work, by placing them 180 (...) (23 years ago, 18-Dec-01, to lugnet.harrypotter)

| (...) If you have the non-defective stairs, a jumper brick placed directly below both the bottom and top-most steps should secure the staircase in place.
