Re: knights armor in set 4709?

OH MY GOSH!!!!!!! You are so insanely lucky. I've never found any legos at yard sales near me. I've thought about posting signs around campus and see if anyone has old legos they want to get rid of. How long ago was it that you found the castle? (...) (23 years ago, 21-Sep-01, to lugnet.harrypotter, lugnet.castle)

Re: Harry Potter Minifig Pictures Posted

The Hagrid body is very interesting. I find it odd how they designed it to only work with itself; no other hair/beard will fit on the body, and, like Matthew said, the beard won't fit on anyone else. I still think the minifig looks cool, though. (...) (23 years ago, 21-Sep-01, to lugnet.harrypotter)

Re: Harry Potter Minifig Pictures Posted

(...) But look at the wy it will fit over the shoulders of a standard minifig...it's made specifically to fit over the shoulders of the custom body, so it'll look really odd floating on a minifig...that's my impression anyway... Matt (23 years ago, 21-Sep-01, to lugnet.harrypotter)

  New Harry Porter doors Q

Having seen Troy's great HP element pictures can anyone inform me as the whether these new door elements fit to the standard shutter bracket bricks (the ones we normal use for castle doors)? I think those door frame CARP pieces look naff. Stoof (23 years ago, 20-Sep-01, to lugnet.harrypotter)

Harry Potter Minifigs - my 2 cent verdict -

What can I say other I am VERY excited about the entire HP range. Mucho kudos to Troy for posting the pictures...well here's my 2 cent worth of opinions: DUMBLEDORE (10/10): Kewl!!! I can see purple wizards, Hugh Hefner and doddering old geezers. (...) (23 years ago, 20-Sep-01, to lugnet.harrypotter)

More HP Comments and a few Pics!

Hi All, I just got through sorting through some of the new Harry Potter sets and thought I would add my comments! I love the new hair pieces only the female hair prevents you from having the minifig looking sideways. Because it hangs over the (...) (23 years ago, 20-Sep-01, to lugnet.harrypotter)

Re: knights armor in set 4709?

(...) Bummer! Sounds like you got the sitch back under control with a strategic dab of super glue. In the future, you might try sliding the sword vertically down the minifig hand for a low tension coupling. Just a thought. Aaron (23 years ago, 20-Sep-01, to lugnet.harrypotter, lugnet.castle)

Why Snape's head glows (was : it GLOWS)

(...) In the books Snape is described as having "sallow skin". My guess is that the designers decided the glow-in-the-dark 'color' best represents Snape's sickly complexion and the fact that it glows when the lights are out is beside the point (...) (...) $2??? What, didn't you try to haggle? Bet you could have got them down to $1.50 :) Seriously, when you find something like that, it must be tempting to turn it around into pure profit on ebay. They all look very nice, but since I've never read the Harry Potter books, and not familiar with the characters (do I have to duck and run?) could someone tell me a little bit about the characters.
