  HP Predictions OWL's

At the End of the 5th Year, All Hogwart students (in 5th Year) take the OWL's (Ordinary Wizarding Levels). They are important in that the rest of Hogwarts schooling depends on it, especially in Potions and in Transfigurations. It might be fun to try (...) (21 years ago, 11-Jul-03, to lugnet.harrypotter)

Re: Prisoner of Azkaban sets, (contains spoilers)

<cut> (...) We're likely too see a couple more Diagon Alley shops. The Leaky Cauldron: Harry spends 2 weeks living here. Could include Harry, Cornelius Fudge and Tom, the landlord. Could be a larger set with an entrance on a London street and the (...) (21 years ago, 7-Jul-03, to lugnet.harrypotter, FTX)

Re: Prisoner of Azkaban sets, (contains spoilers)

(...) a) Hogsmead. I think they are definitely going to have to do a Hogsmeade set or 2. b) Weasley House Also the Weasley house is definitely going to be needing to be done in brick. c) Defense against Dark arts Class Maybe a defense against the (...)   Re: Prisoner of Azkaban sets, (contains spoilers)

Hi Scott, Here are my ideas: Hermione's Secret 2 Figs - Harry and Hermione about $7 Could include new hourglass piece (!) and a revolving wall to simulate time-travel. Sirius's Escape 2 Figs - Harry and Sirius about $13 Could include a POOP Buckbeak (...) (21 years ago, 7-Jul-03, to lugnet.harrypotter, FTX)

Prisoner of Azkaban sets, (contains spoilers)

I was originally going to attach this to the last thread about book 5 “The order of the Phoenix” but it didn’t really apply so I started a new thread. Bruce does well to envision some potential sets for book 5, but at this rate that movie may not be (...) (21 years ago, 6-Jul-03, to lugnet.harrypotter)

Re: order of the phoenix, spoiler thread

(...) There's also St. Mungo's Hospital. It would need a front facade that looks like a rundown department store, with dummies and wigs on askew, maybe the information desk and a ward or two. It also has a gift shop and Tearoom in the hospital on (...) (21 years ago, 3-Jul-03, to lugnet.harrypotter)

Re: order of the phoenix, spoiler thread

(...) Hey Erick, I think that the fireplace in Umbridge's office could have a revolving door with Sirius head on one side and flames on the other. The Azkaban sets could be combined to make a giant Notre Dame castle\cathedral. I once started making (...) (21 years ago, 2-Jul-03, to lugnet.harrypotter)

Re: order of the phoenix, spoiler thread

(...) snip (...) Hmmm...if they decide to make them, it would be interesting to see firenze. It would be cool if they made the other one with the descending ladder too. (...) Seems like this might be a (yech) belville set. lots of pink and little (...) (21 years ago, 1-Jul-03, to lugnet.harrypotter)

Re: order of the phoenix, spoiler thread

(...) I haven't read the book yet, but regarding the book 3 figs, do you think LEGO would produce the Dementors and Death Eaters? The theme is kinda morbid. And would they even attempt to use the term Death Eaters? I'll be curious to see how they (...) (21 years ago, 1-Jul-03, to lugnet.harrypotter)

order of the phoenix, spoiler thread

Hi all, Spoiler alert. Spoiler alert. Spoiler alert. Spoiler alert. Spoiler alert. Spoiler alert. Spoiler alert. Spoiler alert. Spoiler alert. Spoiler alert. Spoiler alert. Spoiler alert. Spoiler alert. Spoiler alert. Spoiler alert. So I just (...) (21 years ago, 1-Jul-03, to lugnet.harrypotter)

  Re: Spoiler!!!

(...) It could be worse-- you could be John Neal and I could have sent you the latest Hillary book! :D (...) No, just read it so we don't have to be subjected to any more LOTR/HP compare and contrast posts. Heck, read it as a study in popular (...)   Re: Spoiler!!!

(...) Maggie: It's SO wrong to send people unsolicited copies of books (like "HP and the S's S"). Now I will feel obliged to either read it and give you my honest opinion of the text or sell it and buy you some lego with the proceeds. Hmph! (...)   Re: Spoiler!!!

(...) Depends on your criteria. Harry Potter is clearly a greater work as far as literacy is concerned, because kids who have had no interest in ready books (shame on them) have suddenly found something to inspire them to do so (even the kid who (...)   Re: Spoiler!!!

(...) I like Tolkien's general storyline (and this is why I do enjoy the films so far), but I dislike his storytelling style. Frankly, I think he needed a very good editor, and then to listen to that editor very carefully. I'm almost done with the (...) (21 years ago, 25-Jun-03, to lugnet.harrypotter, FTX)

  Re: Spoiler!!!

(...) The Harry Potter books are easier reading than Tolkien (I'm already done with The Order of the Phoenix). I would say LOTR is the greater work while the Potter books are more accessible. -->Bruce<-- (21 years ago, 25-Jun-03, to lugnet.harrypotter, FTX)

  Re: Spoiler!!!

(...) Buy or rent the books on tape, they are great. Jim Dade is the best narrator I have ever heard. I promise you if you start listening you will not be able to stop. Scott C. (22 years ago, 20-Jun-03, to lugnet.harrypotter, FTX)

  Re: Spoiler!!!

(...) Couldn't say. Wouldn't either. (...) LOTR is written in a very classical manner (part of the reason why it's accepted as a great literary work instead of tossed in a pile with every other fantasy novel). Part of the big problem with reading it (...) (22 years ago, 20-Jun-03, to lugnet.harrypotter, FTX)

  Spoiler!!!

So Dudley croaks, right? Just curious, I've never read an HP book and I doubt I ever shall since it's killing me to slog through LOTR (which I presume is better overall, but I could be wrong). -- Hop-Frog (22 years ago, 19-Jun-03, to lugnet.harrypotter, FTX)

  Re: Clear Horses? Clear Minifigs?

(...) MORE SPOILERS The petronis (sp?) that saved Harry from the dementors was actually a stag, not horse, and nobody was riding it. The only reference to ghost horses that I am aware of is in the first book, there were riders off to the headless (...)
