A&E has taken both barrels from dozens of LEGO fans posting their
disbelief that LEGO was not in the Top Ten; even #1 in many people's
opinion.

What were the criteria these people used to pick the top ten?  They
have obviously goofed big time, based on all the comments.  And I
think it's regular viewers posting, not AFOL even...  After all, we
just heard about it.  :-)

Apparently the toys had to be an American invention. With the apparent
exception of the yo-yo. And that's probably only because they stuffed up
their research and thought that it was an American invention, too.... How
this crtierion could be an educational one is beyond me. What are they
trying to teach people? That the rest of the world doesn't make good toys?

I agree, how Ameri-centric of them.  I saw the show, and thought for sure that
LEGO would be #1.  Play-doo beat out LEGO, get real.  Lincoln Logs beat out
LEGO?  Yeah, when was the last time Lincoln Logs could build any thing except
a Log Cabin?

I thought it was pretty cheezy.  At least some toys not in the top 10 were
mentioned.  But not one mention of LEGO.  3rd rate cable station!
