Re: Lego company survey now on LegoFan.org

(...) Ditto to both those reasons. 1) I have enough LEGO to build almost anything I want, 2) I don't have any money to spend, 3) if there is a certain piece or two I'm missing, I buy them on Bricklink. I wish the survey had let you back up to (...) (20 years ago, 15-Apr-05, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: Lego company survey now on LegoFan.org

OK, I filled it out. Comments: 1) Geez. Kind of a pain in the neck. Like 70 questions, many with a dozen or more sub questions. It's like doing your taxes. 2) Seemed to be authored by a European. Several reasons: one, the number of questions as I (...) (20 years ago, 15-Apr-05, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: Lego company survey now on LegoFan.org

(...) A few minutes? It took me 30 minutes to slog through this. I do want to aid the LEGO community in learning about Fans of LEGO, and I want to help Brickfest, but please be honest on how long the survey takes. -- Nathan Wells (20 years ago, 15-Apr-05, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: Lego company survey now on LegoFan.org

(...) Eh, sadly, I think it's true. Most AFOLs are after cheap Lego because we buy so much. Not all of us, mind you, but most of us, I think. And of course there were a few things that weren't really quite .... right. Like "Do you buy less Lego than (...) (20 years ago, 15-Apr-05, to lugnet.general)

Re: Regina Maersk (First Maersk ship model from 1960)

(...) Incidentally, I used those two ships in one of my earliest Lego renderings: (URL) Anders Isaksson, Sweden BlockCAD: (2 URLs) (20 years ago, 15-Apr-05, to lugnet.general)

Re: Lego company survey now on LegoFan.org

(...) I was able to take the survey using Firefox (on an XP system). It took me about 20 minutes to take, although I really wish that for certain questions, they would allow write-ins. They did on some, but not on a key one to me. Question 24: What (...) (20 years ago, 15-Apr-05, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: Lego company survey now on LegoFan.org

I just took the survey. It is long but I'm sure this important for the LEGO company. There are a lot of questions about how much on this and that (Playmobil, Fischer-Price, MB, etc). When they look at my replies, LEGO will probably think I'm a (...) (20 years ago, 15-Apr-05, to lugnet.general)

Re: Lego company survey now on LegoFan.org

(...) (snip) (...) I took this, you can get to it from the (URL) LegoFan> page as well. I had to use IE to take the survey, it didn't work for me in FireFox. YMMV. I found it took about 15-20 min or so to take, you will be asked a number of (...) (20 years ago, 15-Apr-05, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: Lego company survey now on LegoFan.org

(...) I'm willing to help. Unfortunately, I'm quite annoyed at the fact that Canada is NOT listed as one of the countries that I currently reside. Or did we get assimilated into the US when I wasn't paying attention? Sheesh. -Bryan (20 years ago, 15-Apr-05, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Lego company survey now on LegoFan.org

The LEGO company would like to understand their consumers better and they need YOUR help! LEGOFan has been working very closely with the LEGO company recently to help develop and promote an online survey that helps them better understand their (...)   Re: Regina Maersk (First Maersk ship model from 1960)

(...) Maybe its on the same side as the merchant ships. Maybe its a model of the Danish Navy's U1. (URL) Still military but not as scary as a Nazi submarine. (20 years ago, 15-Apr-05, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: Regina Maersk (First Maersk ship model from 1960)

(...) No those are bricks (otherwise it would beg the question "when did they make macaroni plates?"). The white plates in the model would all be waffle bottom. Plates in other colors (besides white and a few rare red ones from the 50's) first came (...) (20 years ago, 15-Apr-05, to lugnet.general)

Re: Regina Maersk (First Maersk ship model from 1960)

Re: Regina Maersk (First Maersk ship model from 1960)

---snip--- (...) Gary that sure is a "u" boat! But you can't have a fleet of merchant ships without a "u" boat to go hunting them. That is like having cowboys with NO indians or bread without butter! ;) -Ahui (20 years ago, 14-Apr-05, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: Regina Maersk (First Maersk ship model from 1960)

(...) Are those blue plates on the bottom? That bouy is interesting. With the newer 1x1 round, it would not need to be studs down, but with the original 1x1 round, it had to be studs down because you wouldn't be able to center the old 1x1 round (...) (20 years ago, 14-Apr-05, to lugnet.general)

Regina Maersk (First Maersk ship model from 1960)

For those of you that collect Maersk Lego models, there is one model that was never sold as a set, but only as a model in the early 1960's Lego Building Idea Book #1, also known as #238. Here is the model on a page from #238. There are other ships (...) (20 years ago, 14-Apr-05, to lugnet.general)
