  Dusting off the LEGO blog

As some of you know, I've been running a LEGO blog over at bricksonthebrain.com for some time now. But late last year, I got overwhelmed with work and underwhelmed with the traffic, so I let it slide. But recently, I've been prompted by a number of (...)   What are little dogs made of?

My apologies if this has been previously discussed. In (URL) this fine MOC,> what part makes up the pedestal-dog's tail? While we're at it, what parts went into the non-pedestal-dog's head? A very cool MOC, IMO. Dave! (20 years ago, 11-Apr-05, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Looking for weird, bizarre or otherwise unusual Lego creations for sale!

Hey all, I've been approached by a good friend who's self-publishing a magazine about VERY off-the-beaten-track toys, most of which are designed, executed, produced, and marketed by the artists themselves. Knowing of my fondness for Lego, he asked (...) (20 years ago, 9-Apr-05, to lugnet.general)

  Esoteric Lego history question

Expert Lego historians: I have a rather esoteric question that I have been unable to answer despite rather extensive searching. Tracing the ownership of Lego by the Kirk Christiansens we have Ole who had several children, including Godtfred, who, as (...) (20 years ago, 10-Apr-05, to lugnet.general)

(...) Same here in Charleston, SC. However, Target still has an excellent LEGO selection and while they're not as widespread as WalMart, they seem to have a few stores in every region (I'm not sure about the Boone area though). -Orion (20 years ago, 7-Apr-05, to lugnet.general)

Re: What's up with the Wal*mart Lego selection?

(...) It's a nationwide trend, from what I've heard. WalMart has been gradually favoring MegaBloks for various reasons, and not purchasing as much Lego.   Re: What's up with the Wal*mart Lego selection?

(...) I find the same thing here in Vermont. It's getting to the point where it's almost impossible to buy Lego retail. WalMart had a few Duplo tubs and Bionicle, and then the rest of the "Lego" aisle was full of MegaBloks. Same story at K-Mart. At (...) (20 years ago, 7-Apr-05, to lugnet.general)

What's up with the Wal*mart Lego selection?
