(...) Same here in Charleston, SC. However, Target still has an excellent LEGO selection and while they're not as widespread as WalMart, they seem to have a few stores in every region (I'm not sure about the Boone area though). -Orion (20 years ago, 7-Apr-05, to lugnet.general)

(...) FWIW, my local Wal*Mart (western PA) just added a bunch of Star Wars EPIII stuff to its LEGO aisle, while the MegaBloks inventory has remained about the same for several months. I know that MegaBloks has new sets coming out within a month or (...) (20 years ago, 7-Apr-05, to lugnet.general)

(...) It's a nationwide trend, from what I've heard. WalMart has been gradually favoring MegaBloks for various reasons, and not purchasing as much Lego. Mainly, I think it's due to WalMart's analysis software which helps them predict what will sell (...) (20 years ago, 7-Apr-05, to lugnet.general)

I live in a small town in western North Carolina and I often travel to nearby towns and cities to look for deals on Lego in places like Wal*mart. Lately, I've noticed a disturbing trend. The stores in the following cities have *very little* Lego on (...) (20 years ago, 7-Apr-05, to lugnet.general)
