New (Old) Town Plan sets discovered. —Gerhard R. Istok
Eric Strand, who is helping me with the Lego CD (he's becoming a Samsonite expert) recently discovered some heretofore unknown Town Plan sets from the 1960's.          SWEDISH TOWN PLAN BOARD (was Re: New (Old) Town Plan sets discovered.) —Gerhard R. Istok
(...) Well I just found out why this board is different. Kurt Richter, a German collector friend (who is also helping with the Lego CD) told me today that this was the Swedish Town Plan board. It seems that in Sweden they were driving on the left (...) (20 years ago, 23-Oct-04, to lugnet.general, FTX)

(...) In fact it was September the 3:rd, 1967, 05.00AM (Sunday morning). I was only 13 then, so I wasn't allowed to be up at that time of day, but I remember getting out my bicycle as soon as I woke up later in the morning. In 1955 there was a (...)      (...) Thanks Anders, It really is an interesting story! Boy did I get the year wrong on that one. But I was basing that on my memory from something I read a few years ago.    (...) Hi Ronald, From 1960 (when Lego first came to Britain) until 1963, the continental European Town Plan board was used in Britain (along with the continental #810 Town Plan set). Starting in 1963 Britain had their own Town Plan set and Town Plan (...) (20 years ago, 19-Oct-04, to lugnet.general)

Re: New (Old) Town Plan sets discovered. —Gerhard R. Istok
(...) I too was curious about the hollow bottom trees in this set, until I looked at my notes, and found that there were 2 variations of the #810 British Town Plan set. From what it appears, the first variation (1963-64?) had the Bedford trucks and (...) (20 years ago, 21-Oct-04, to lugnet.general)
