Hi Ronald,
From 1960 (when Lego first came to Britain) until 1963, the continental European
Town Plan board was used in Britain (along with the continental #810 Town Plan
set). Starting in 1963 Britain had their own Town Plan set and Town Plan board,
but they still used the same #810 and #200 numbers as the rest of Europe. These
British boards were because of driving on the left side of the road than in the
rest of Europe/USA/Canada. Note: the British Town Plan set and board were also
sold in Australia and New Zealand (since they too drive on the left side of the
road).
Here is an example of a British #810 Town Plan recently sold in Australia on
