Certainly, but instructions can enable you to come up with your own
creations. Often, one might not know building techniques shown in the
instructions, and might not be able to guess those techniques from a
shot of the outside. Once you understand those techniques, you can
extend them and use them in other models.
I know, for instance, the method of seating two minifigs in a
landspeeder wasn't one I'd immediately come up with, but I can now use
it elsewhere.

| Here's a loaded question... I see a lot of posts asking for instructions or pictures of how to build a <insert item here>. Not just ideas, but actual step-by-step instructions. Is it just me, or does this seem like a contradiction of the idea behind (...) (26 years ago, 23-May-99, to lugnet.general)
