I think that any reply from Kevin would only net him more criticism.
He took a lot of criticism when the building instructions went down...but
look what happened in that case.

Do you consider your suggestion a 'positive' one?
I don't, and here's why: You're suggesting that Kevin fundamentally change
the nature of his well established and well respected site, to alleviate a
(possibly temporary) problem you are experiencing.
What do you presume 'the community' to be? A few people on LUGNET who
suggest that Brickshelf charge or prevent deep linking??
