Hey, the first (space) minifig I saw didn't have a head. Just the little dab
of paint on the neck. I figured it was the spaceman's facemask. Boy was I
repulsed.

Since the "stiffies" had a short stud, I didn't make the connection that a
stiffie head could just as well be used.

Anyway, I was freaked out by the first minifig. Now? Love 'em...

I've always wondered what that bit of paint is for. It always seemed like a
painted on trachea. Does anyone know? Anyone?

Jonathan

I've always assumed that it's used for alignment of the heads when they're
attached by the machines.
