Yup. I did a quick calc last night on a pile of auctions that I have
recently shipped. The outcome was that ~24% of what was *remitted* went
to the USPS. Keeping in mind that remitted is above the bid price
(because of added shipping charges). The Post Office is making loads off
of e-commerce, and they want a rate increase.

If you read it as it was meant to be spoken ("funny part" as a single term as well as the subject of the sentence), it's fine even if it isn't the expositorily most-favored variant.
