Re: LEGOFan.org 2.0 is now online!

(...) Now that's a great idea. I'd love to see a calendar on the LEGOFan website that not only has community-wide events, but regional events as well (such as local LUG meeting times or where an LTC is having a display). The reason I'd like that is (...) (21 years ago, 2-May-05, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: Lego Buildings with 4 Walls

(...) And you may be right. Perhaps the AFOL community (even with the addition of a smaller scale architectural line) are just not significant enough of a population to warrant ever getting special parts not produced for the general public. (...) (...) (21 years ago, 1-May-05, to lugnet.general)

In lugnet.general, Gerhard R. Istok wrote: SNIP (...) It's not exactly stingy. Currently, windows are rarely used in the widely distributed lines (HP, SW, AT, KK). Without wide distribution, there is not always enough revenue to cover the costs of (...) (21 years ago, 1-May-05, to lugnet.general)

Re: Lego Buildings with 4 Walls

4 walls was done before, see US set 560 or it's european 376 version. As for abandoning the minifig, that's the reason kids like town, it allows them to recreate things in everyday life. It's such a strong part of the brand recognition I very much (...) (21 years ago, 1-May-05, to lugnet.general)

  Lego Buildings with 4 Walls

I was looking at the #4886 Designers set in the Lugnet set database yesterday. And there were a few things that troubled me about it. Not the design per se, but just the whole concept of going from a "minifig" environment (3 walls, juniorized parts, (...) (21 years ago, 1-May-05, to lugnet.general)

Re: Custom Lego Building Benches and Tables

Thanks for the reply! Yes, that IS a simple sturdy table! I see you have lots of storage space in that closet too :) Very handy! Just wondering, about how deep is that table? I'm trying to get a feel for a good work area with enough space for parts (...) (21 years ago, 29-Apr-05, to lugnet.general)

Re: Custom Lego Building Benches and Tables

Hey, plucky My workbench can be seen a few pictures down on the main page of my website here: www.xenobuzz.com It's just a simple, sturdy table (really all you need!). My only improvement (were I to want/need it) would be to have a shallow trench, (...) (21 years ago, 27-Apr-05, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Putting faith in me...

(...) You can't post there but you can create FTX pages there. (URL) for example> XFUT admin.curators (and I am force-futting the rest of this thread tree, this doesn't belong in .general) (21 years ago, 28-Apr-05, to lugnet.general, lugnet.admin.curators, FTX)

  Re: Putting faith in me...

(...) So I was going to post in off-topic, but then I realized that you can't actually post in off-topic, but only in the sub groups. At least, that's the way it looks to me... (...)   Re: New Poll: Add wide corridors to Moonbase?

(...) (URL) now I'm going to be providing crucial Moonbase info on here and over there, but I'll probably focus more over there in the long run because I can post much faster and I feel the word will get out to more new builders.
