  Re: Set #271 Policemen

(...) Ronald, Well yes I can answer that question...(in greater detail in my upcoming CD). #271 is the "unknown" spare parts pack. #271 Traffic Police Set came into production around 1956. It was produced until about 1964 and only in continental (...) (21 years ago, 24-Nov-04, to lugnet.general, FTX)

  Set #271 Policemen

Hi! Has anybody any idea how old this set is? (URL) I didn't find it in any of the 50s and 60s catalogs. I have it in front of me with this type of box/picture. (URL) From the dots left and right to "LEGO" I would say it's from the late 50s. Does (...) (21 years ago, 24-Nov-04, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: Some 2005 sets showing up already in regular stores.

(...) Doh! (...) Thanks for the info Dan. I haven't opened mine yet (won't until X-mas). It looks like those are 'Slope Brick 18 4 x 2'. I have a couple plain red ones in my collection so I guess I can still work around the ugly headlights. Do they (...) (21 years ago, 24-Nov-04, to lugnet.general, lugnet.year.2005, FTX)

  Re: Shifty set

(...) I am not sure what either "blatant" nor "jeers" mean, but when reading the Danish and the English version, I would have translated this way: ....all are Slavic copies of Lego.... I asume blatant is something else. Sonnich (...) (21 years ago, 24-Nov-04, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, lugnet.general, lugnet.mediawatch)

  ISCC ?

Hi all! Is there an ISCC this year too? Usually there is some information about it at this time. Sonnich (21 years ago, 24-Nov-04, to lugnet.general)

mid-'80s Shop-At-Home catalogs now in Bricklink catalog

Hi there, I finally got around to scanning in some of my old SAH catalogs (then called just "Mail Order Service") and uploading them to the Bricklink catalog. CHeck out stuff added 11/22 here: (URL) one or even three people will be interested in (...) (21 years ago, 24-Nov-04, to lugnet.general)

  A Turkey Day Thanks

Hey all, The big day where we all gobble the gobbler is almost here, and I've composed a few lines of thanks that I'll be reading when my family sits down to dine. Before I get to the text, you'll need a little backstory first. This will be our (...) (21 years ago, 24-Nov-04, to lugnet.general)

Re: Some 2005 sets showing up already in regular stores.

(...) The headllights aren't stickers. The headlights are printed slopes, and everything else is stickers. It's very weird. You've probably opened yours by now, but thought I'd put it out there. -Dan Rubin (21 years ago, 23-Nov-04, to lugnet.general, lugnet.year.2005, FTX)

  Re: Identifying AFOLs on LUGNET

(...) Heh, if LGC caught on, it'd probably slowly become second nature-- at least to the things you were interested in seeing. But I have to agree, it's very intimidating at first glance. Lots of symbols and wierdness floating around. Now, what (...) (21 years ago, 23-Nov-04, to lugnet.general)

Re: Some 2005 sets showing up already in regular stores.

(...) Actually I got the picture from www.eurobricks.com, so I don't deserve the credit... :) (...) Yes the stickers do look quite cheap and detract from the overall appearance of the car... (...) Well I was just poking around on www.eurobricks.com (...) (21 years ago, 23-Nov-04, to lugnet.general, lugnet.year.2005, FTX)

  Re: Identifying AFOLs on LUGNET

(...) I don't know about the Geek code. I think it would take less time to read someones profile (personal info) in paragraph form that to try to translate a Geek code into data one can understand. You would always need a cheat sheet of sorts, and (...) (21 years ago, 23-Nov-04, to lugnet.general)

Re: Some 2005 sets showing up already in regular stores.

(...) Thanks for the pic Bryan. Earlier today I went to a TRU and purchased one so I had already seen the box in person. I almost didn't buy it because I think the stickers used for the headlights are very unappealing. I think they make it look like (...) (...) Neat idea, but what about those of us who don't stick to any one building theme? I build Town, Train, Technic Scale, Space, Miniland, Adventurers. I don't think I'ved settled into any one theme yet. Would I be a 03xx? -Elroy (21 years ago, 23-Nov-04, to lugnet.general)
