Re: Been away for 3 years, asking a lot of questions...

(...) LOL. You would be most welcome at the frist group, Gary. Especially since Larry helped me to break the magical "twenty posts" barrier recently. :-) And don't be intimidated by Suzanne, one of those twenty posts is hers. With friendly (...) (22 years ago, 30-Jul-04, to lugnet.general, FTX)

  What to call this scale?

Check out this really neat folder on Brickshelf: (URL) creator calls it "microscale" but I think most would agree it's not really microscale (smaller than minifig scale). Instead these animals are sculpted at a scale much closer to real than minifig (...) (22 years ago, 30-Jul-04, to lugnet.general, lugnet.build, lugnet.build.microscale, lugnet.build.sculpture)

Re: Are custom made parts LEGO?

(...) What follows is my opinion, not any sort of Lugnet Admin official stance by any means... I think there's a need for a custom parts discussion group but I'm not sure it belongs under off-topic. You can argue it both ways. This argument has in (...) (22 years ago, 30-Jul-04, to lugnet.general, lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, lugnet.admin.general)

  Are custom made parts LEGO?

Hello! And therefore: Are custom made parts subject of lugnet.general or any respective theme-newsgroup? Though I do not at all deny the creativity that's put into custom made pieces I still wonder. I could take a knife and a piece of wood and carve (...) (22 years ago, 30-Jul-04, to lugnet.general, lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

Could it be a Dim Age?

Well, I'm one of the lucky few who has never had a Lego® Dark Age. I never felt that I was too old to collect the brick, and I was never embarassed to play with ABS. But alas, if anyone's been wondering why my presence here has been almost nil of (...) (22 years ago, 30-Jul-04, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: Been away for 3 years, asking a lot of questions...

(...) Thanks Mark, Deja Vu.... I was looking at your store this afternoon, and saw the Maersk blue trove of goodies. :-) I was checking Peeron to see what colors the 2x10 bricks came in, and Mark, your store hit the jackpot in Maersk blue, hence my (...)   Re: Been away for 3 years, asking a lot of questions...

Been away for 3 years, asking a lot of questions...

OK, when you've been away for 3 years like I have, there are a few questions that bear answering. Like where do the Bricklink folks get their parts? I assume that they get much of it directly from TLG. Otherwise how could one come across so many (...) (22 years ago, 29-Jul-04, to lugnet.general)

(...) (Spent 1 1/2 weeks without my PC due to the "Sasser" virus... but it's recovered)....   Re: Looking for font used in the LEGO System sign

(...) I don't recognise the font for "system" but I suspect that its actually a logotype/emblem - that is the characters were designed especially for this usage, and you won't find the rest of the character set.   New 2x2 Round Plates

Hey All, I don't know if this has been brought up before, but I noticed this when I grabbed a few white 2x2 round plates for a project I'm working on: (URL) (the left being the older version) I think this has been brought up about some Technic (...)   Re: Friday Surprise

(...) Agreed I just looked at the shop.lego.com page, and found these (and 2 new train sets!), but - I need 19 red concaves - why does TLC not make them, as well as the small 2x2 top tile for those? They would be very useful! 2x2 convex/concave (...) (22 years ago, 29-Jul-04, to lugnet.general, lugnet.lego)
