Is the mother-in-law kind of cool on the idea of you being an AFOL? All the
children I've met at public meetings in all the years I've been been a club
member (whether they're AFOL kids or not) have been unilaterally inspired
and amazed by what they see, but never intimidated. Even I can remember
that I never felt daunted by the huge official Lego displays either. I just
remember thinking: "If I had enough bricks someday, I could build that
too!"
