(...) You could position the old finger-hinges in an "open" position as well. The only big advantage I've found for the click-hinges is that depending on variation of the click hinges that you have (earlier ones had really floppy click-action, and (...) Today I discovered the Galidor figures for sale for the first time here where I live (Tromsø, Norway. They was on sale too.... Is 50NOK (about 6 euro or 7.3 US $) cheap for those figures? (...) Oops. Perhaps my wording was vague, but you're correct. The fingers are indeed compatible, though the bricks/plates themselves are not overly similar. (...) Are you sure about that? They may not be the exact same parts, but the hinge fingers sure look like a match. I'll have to test it though. I'd bet Lego has a patent on the new click hinge finger design, in addition to any patents on the hinged (...) (22 years ago, 16-Jun-04, to lugnet.general)

(...) Another thing to remember is that the click hinge "clicks" and therefore means that you can position canopies and whatever else in an "open" position. Which is better for "playability" (22 years ago, 16-Jun-04, to lugnet.general)
