Re: Restoring Lego window panes with Liquid Lense ?

No, but I've used my daughters clear nail polish, worked pretty darn good. Had to be very carefull about not getting lint or cat hair in/on it. Also had to use very delicate brush strokes. Joe (22 years ago, 29-Mar-04, to lugnet.general)

Re: How do you store your instructions?

I have big 3-inch binders which are loaded with plastic sleeves. Each theme has it's own binder. I then organize them by size, with the smallest in photo-sleeves, then up through full size. Here is one: (URL) I do have 2 problems with this setup, (...) (22 years ago, 28-Mar-04, to lugnet.storage, lugnet.general)

  Mold variant: 4.5V semaphore signal

Recently I bought some old 4.5V train stuff, including several semaphore signals, both blue/red and red/white. I noticed a different mold for one of the white baseplates: (URL) With differences marked: (URL) All red baseplates are like the left one (...) (22 years ago, 28-Mar-04, to lugnet.general, FTX)

  Re: Uploading Pictures to Brickshelf

(...) I had a similar problem when I first tried creating folders, etc. for the first time on Brickshelf. It kept pointing me to the search page whenever I tried telling it to do something. Then I figured out that perhaps it had to do with my McAfee (...) (22 years ago, 28-Mar-04, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Uploading Pictures to Brickshelf

(...) I'm not sure what the problem is for you. It may have been down temporarily. I just uploaded a picture to my folder, so it appears to be working now. Try again, and if you still have the problem, reply to this with some details about what the (...) (22 years ago, 27-Mar-04, to lugnet.general)

  Uploading Pictures to Brickshelf

I'd like to share pictures of my MOCs with you but am having trouble uploading to Brickshelf. I can log in OK but I can't find anything that says "Upload". When I try to create a folder, the site logs me out and directs me to a searching page. I'm (...) (22 years ago, 27-Mar-04, to lugnet.general)

Re: most wanted parts that dont exist?

(...) No, they are too slippery and the chains break to easily (got a few hundred of those, not so difficult with ebay & patience). Jürgen (22 years ago, 27-Mar-04, to lugnet.general)

Re: most wanted parts that dont exist?

(...) Better yet, just bring back the old Tread Links in a way that we can all get some :) (22 years ago, 27-Mar-04, to lugnet.general)

Re: most wanted parts that dont exist?

Something I want is a part thats like the 1 x 2 hinge with fingers on the long side except with 2 fingers instead of 3. (22 years ago, 27-Mar-04, to lugnet.general, lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: most wanted parts that dont exist?

(...) Yeah, that would be great! You could also combine it with a 1x2 plate to make an upside-down jumper, roughly. Hmmm, I'm not sure what colors I'd most like to see in existing shapes. It varies, depending on what project I'm working on. But here (...) (22 years ago, 26-Mar-04, to lugnet.general, lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: most wanted parts that dont exist?

Hi, (...) although I'm very reluctant to mutilate my bricks, I actually made a couple of these. My second piece would be a cam like the one on the Technic axle crankshaft ((URL) without the axle. You might also call it a 1 1/2 length technic (...) (22 years ago, 26-Mar-04, to lugnet.general)

Re: X-Pod Play Off game included in LEGO magazine

  Re: AFOLs - The comic!

Loved the comic, the expressions and everything are so real. My only comment is that there are no female lego collectors in the comic. The females are either working or being very supportive of their lego enthusiast boyfriend. Maybe the pirate (...) (22 years ago, 25-Mar-04, to lugnet.lego, lugnet.general, lugnet.org, FTX)

  Re: Too much Lego?

Initially, I was allotting a maximum of $60 a month. Later, I just decided on a general "entertainment" amount and figured from there.   Re: Too much Lego?

(...) I spend £200/month, that's about $320/month or $3840/year. This is mostly on new Lego. I divided my purchasing into three: 1. Urgent Needs. 2. General Needs. 3. Nice to Haves. Urgent needs get bought at any price RRP or below. If I'm that keen (...) (22 years ago, 25-Mar-04, to lugnet.general)
