Hello, Okay, so after the failure of my last thread and being stricken with a cold this week, I can honestly say I'm back on my feet again. (thank god) Anyway, I wanted to start this thread over to collect some opinions about what builders do with (...) (22 years ago, 28-Feb-03, to lugnet.general)

 | | Lego Shop-At-Home Catalogs
I have been saving all Lego S-A-H catalogs since about 1997 (I tossed all prior to then) and would like to know if they are worth keeping? Most of them have my address on a label or printed directly on the catalog. I will probably keep the best ones (...) (22 years ago, 28-Feb-03, to lugnet.general)

(...) It has been a while since I've checked out your posters- very nice. They're all great, but my favorite has to be Ghostbusters. -- Tony Hafner www.hafhead.com (22 years ago, 28-Feb-03, to lugnet.general)

 | | Is it Lego?
LLL! Dear Legofans! I've a simple question: Is this suit-case Lego? I got this suit-case form my grandparents, who bought it for my parents, so it must be very old (50th). There is no Lego-logo on it, but i know that there was Lego inside and there (...) (22 years ago, 28-Feb-03, to lugnet.general)

(...) Udderly nice. Hey, have you maybe tried using the 2x3 inverse slope for the head. Rev.Powell uses it (see the Joseph stories), and the inverse slope works really well because of those little slits for the peg make it look kinda like eyes. (...) (...) I'll admit they're pretty thin. So I decided to beef them up. I started with the design that I used, Franklin Cain's bovine design (credit where credit is due): (URL) spent an hour on the hoof, grazing through my parts stock. After bullying (...) (...) It's a clone brand, they don't have to worry about stuff like that. Their success is just a matter of cashing in on Lego having done all the groundwork. All the part variety and rebuildability they need comes from the fact that most of their (...) (22 years ago, 27-Feb-03, to lugnet.general)

Here is some stuff I've been sitting on that doesn't fall into the castle category. Some of this stuff is really old, you'll see... I am a hardcore Dr Who fan, so here's my attempt at it... I did the tardis, K9, and a dalek. (URL) following links (...) (22 years ago, 27-Feb-03, to lugnet.general, lugnet.announce.moc)

Allen this is exactly the point that I was trying to make. It seems that at one point time the choice was lego, and only lego, so those of us that have been building for years already have a history with one product vs. another. The MB product in my (...)
