  Re: Where's the Beef?

(...) Udderly nice. Hey, have you maybe tried using the 2x3 inverse slope for the head. Rev.Powell uses it (see the Joseph stories), and the inverse slope works really well because of those little slits for the peg make it look kinda like eyes. (...)   Re: New MOCs, random other stuff I built

(...) (as I've mostly been exposed to the Tom Baker one). Anyhow, you've down a great job on all the icons of the show. Thanks, George (22 years ago, 27-Feb-03, to lugnet.general)

  Re: GI Joe Lego!

(...) It's a clone brand, they don't have to worry about stuff like that. Their success is just a matter of cashing in on Lego having done all the groundwork. All the part variety and rebuildability they need comes from the fact that most of their (...) (22 years ago, 27-Feb-03, to lugnet.general)

New MOCs, random other stuff I built

Here is some stuff I've been sitting on that doesn't fall into the castle category. Some of this stuff is really old, you'll see... I am a hardcore Dr Who fan, so here's my attempt at it... I did the tardis, K9, and a dalek. (URL) following links (...) (22 years ago, 27-Feb-03, to lugnet.general, lugnet.announce.moc)

New MOCs, random castle stuff I built

Here are some things I've been sitting on, I finally got around to taking pics and uploading them. I've been working on a demon of sorts and I had one semi finished and then sorta rebuilt it, it looks nothing like the finished product, I should of (...)   Re: Where did the lego's go?

Allen this is exactly the point that I was trying to make. It seems that at one point time the choice was lego, and only lego, so those of us that have been building for years already have a history with one product vs. another. The MB product in my (...)   Re: Where did the lego's go?

(...) I find the Wal-Marts in my area (London --> Kitchener ON) to be extremely hit and miss. They are best stocked just before Christmas, but otherwise, it's often not worth even stopping in to see what's there. (...) Zellers stores, on the other (...)   Re: Where did the lego's go?

Re: Best Lego Year of all time?

(...) Yup. Technic was just about at its strongest until 1997, I'd say. (...) Hmm... the slightly more major themes: Adventurers - 1998. 2003's selection is good, but... awfully Juniorized.   Re: GI Joe Lego!

this makes me so conflicted... i loved the gi joe brand back in the 80's and my heart was crushed watching the product line disintigrate over the years. How many mocs did i build that were inspired by gi joe? but maybe this is gi joe stepping on (...) (22 years ago, 26-Feb-03, to lugnet.general)
