  Re: TLG investigation 1st answers

(...) enemies (...) Of course I don't expect that. I stated "bitterness in tone". What I meant was that some of this frustration with TLG, much of which - please make no mistake - is clearly justified, could come across better if it were phrased in (...)   Re: TLG investigation 1st answers

(...) I think you might be mistaking 'bitterness' for a pent up desire for many people here to express their feelings to Lego, and someone just opened a crack in the door. Do you expect us to sit here on our hands and not say anything that might be (...) (26 years ago, 19-Feb-99, to lugnet.general)

Re: US and UK catalogues different

Simon, Yes, I noticed that as well, in regards to the US & European catalogs. One of the places we get the set names and the like is from the US Shop At Home Service catalog. They have the names, and some names for the mini-figs as well. Back a few (...) (26 years ago, 19-Feb-99, to lugnet.general)

Re: Fw: TLG investigation 1st answers

I would hope that Jeroen see these posts not as anger, but as frustration, and takes them with a grain of salt. But YES, more TLGers need to be aware of this in one way or another. I think it MAY be time for a new newgroup, as dear-lego may not cut (...) (26 years ago, 19-Feb-99, to lugnet.general)

  Re: TLG investigation 1st answers

(...) Yes, and before someone writes this off as "the adults were there with their kids".... UH-UH. I HAVE no kids, and quite a few BA TLGers were there without kids. I'm sure there were others there without kids that weren't with the BA TLGer (...) (26 years ago, 19-Feb-99, to lugnet.general)

  Re: TLG investigation 1st answers

Hello all, Re: Model Team/Technic Love (and frequently buy) both of them. Re: old set re-releases No, I don't like the newer sets as much as I like the older sets. But there are many things for which I prefer older to newer, not just Lego. For (...) (26 years ago, 19-Feb-99, to lugnet.general)

  Re: TLG investigation 1st answers

(...) Um, Nissan/Datsun 240ZX ;-) Nissan is buying all the originals they can find, and rebuilding them and selling them. They have to buy old ones to rebuild because too many of the molds/stamps are GONE. I don't think TLG would have that problem. (...) (26 years ago, 19-Feb-99, to lugnet.general)

  Re: TLG investigation 1st answers

(...) Ah, but you've BOUGHT other MT sets - 2 5571s at least. Granted, they were on clearance, but TLG still got paid for them. And every MT set you buy for parts STILL gets money to TLG. So I would think you would be FOR MT sets, if for nothing (...) (26 years ago, 19-Feb-99, to lugnet.general)

  Re: TLG investigation 1st answers

(...) I'm not a collector, but I buy older sets because of the fantastic models they have, especially compared to much of the current line. Re-release of older sets is not as big on our lists as new sets with the same quality as the '80s line-up. I (...) (26 years ago, 19-Feb-99, to lugnet.general)

  Re: TLG investigation

(...) NOTE, however, that if TLG sold more parts packs, or sold in bulk, our total dollar purchases *DIRECTLY TO TLG, rather than third parties* would increase an enormous amount.   Fw: TLG investigation 1st answers

Fellow LEGO Maniacs, I've agreed with everyone's comments, but I think we should go a little easier on Jeroen. As he's said, he will ignore most, if not all of the non-Technic related feedback. Maybe we're giving Jeroen more influence than he really (...) (26 years ago, 19-Feb-99, to lugnet.general)

Kaere Jeroen, So I start another novel. I am not at all surprised by the number of responses to your initial inquiry. Its a bit like opening Pandora's box. Many (adults) in the online community feel that TLG pretty much ignores them, rightly or (...) (26 years ago, 19-Feb-99, to lugnet.general)
