Based on what I am thinking for this topic, the SMs would still have full
control over the mysteries of their sectors. If probes are given stats
including a rating for sensors, then SMs could use that as a guide to what a
probe might be able to see. And as long as the probe and/or its drones are
still in the sector, than the SM can have any sort of good or bad event happen
that could impact the probe's mission.
If a probe visited and scanned an inactive sector (as one is currently planning
on doing), chances are the GM will just have a base reply of something like:
"The probe scans and finds a sector made of the very stuff space is named for:
space. Perhaps someday, as stars and planets move, a system may shift to fill
the void."
