Re: Instructions for the Cathedral Board Game

(...) Hi Jason, These instructions are really good. The game looks like fun and I'll try it out with my family this summer. I think you should post a link to the instructions on Jake's site: (URL) (22 years ago, 2-May-03, to lugnet.inst, lugnet.gaming)

Instructions for the Cathedral Board Game

Well I got around to creating instructions for my version of the Cathedral board game. Here they are: (URL) Orginal thread about this game is here: (URL) Spears MichLUG - (URL) MOCpage - (URL) (22 years ago, 2-May-03, to lugnet.inst, lugnet.build, lugnet.cad, lugnet.castle, lugnet.gaming, lugnet.org.glug) !!

  Re: Brikwars at OurCon 04

(...) I always appreciate other options, because they let me see things that I might have over looked. In the end I usually take all the feedback I get and modify the game to try and meet as many of them as possible. I agree that losing troops is a (...)   Re: Brikwars at OurCon 04

(...) I agree, especially for a Gaming Con where non-AFOLs will be invited to join, that it would be nice to have the players be allies versus NPC opponents. Having NELUG play the NPCs would work nicely. This creates a nice scenario where teamwork (...) (22 years ago, 1-May-03, to lugnet.org.us.nelug, lugnet.gaming)

  Re: Brikwars at OurCon 04

I think the three hour time slots would work well for the game I have in mind. What I've come up with so far is a TL2 game for mulitple players broken up into three stages each consisting of three missions. Each of these missions can be done at the (...)   Re: Brikwars at OurCon 04

(...) Sweet! FYI to all, according to Jeff Lawrence (the man to-be-in-charge), here are the kinds of time slots to expect if planning a BW (or QW) game at OurCon '04: "That is yet unclear. What *I'm* pushing for is the option for 3,4 and 5 hour (...) (22 years ago, 30-Apr-03, to lugnet.org.us.nelug, lugnet.gaming)

  Re: Brikwars at OurCon 04

(...) It was originally planned to be small-scale, but I ended up way overbuilding, the game ended up taking about 8 hours. (...) I agree, a three-hour time slot is a lot more realistic. I did set aside a section at the beginning of the 2001 to (...) (22 years ago, 30-Apr-03, to lugnet.org.us.nelug, lugnet.gaming)

  Fwd: Brikwars at OurCon 04

Hi .fun.gaming and GLUG! A colleague over at NELUG suggested I alert you all to a gaming related thread I started: (URL) free to join the discussion! :) -Hendo (22 years ago, 30-Apr-03, to lugnet.gaming, lugnet.org.glug)

  Re: Full Thrust?

I have played and GMed Full Thrust games for years. I have about 30 of the metal ships and hundreds of the Star Trek micro-machines. You can use a few ships, or many. My friends and I have played fleet-sized battles. If you have played or have seen (...) (22 years ago, 30-Apr-03, to lugnet.gaming)

  Full Thrust?

This is sort of O.T., but I was wondering if anyone plays "Full Thrust" and what they think about it. I'm sort of leaning towards miniature games and it looks pretty groovy, but it's hard to tell. Plus -for anyone's who has played - could the rules (...) (22 years ago, 30-Apr-03, to lugnet.gaming)

  Re: New Lego Game?

(...) That's probably your best option, BrikWars isn't very well optimized for such stealth-intensive combat. The main fun of this game is that the terrorists and anti-terrorists don't know each other's positions; that's also the trickiest part to (...) (22 years ago, 22-Apr-03, to lugnet.gaming)

  Re: New Lego Game?

(...) I am planning on writing my own rules from scratch. I was thinking along the line of each game consisting of a number of rounds, and the players can buy weapons and ammo between the rounds. The game will probably be quite paper intensive (...) (22 years ago, 22-Apr-03, to lugnet.gaming)

  Re: New Lego Game?

(...) I have three words that could describe this. Lego Counter Strike. :) It sounds cool. I'd love to play CT (Counter-terrorsists)when Mr. Blasterman makes his MP5 and M-16 and AK47. ~Evan Butzlaff (22 years ago, 20-Apr-03, to lugnet.gaming)

  Re: New Lego Game?

(...) This could probably be done with brikwars rules, with a few additions. The hostage with terrorists and the incursion team (picturing the museum level in my head right now), the choppers and apc's could all be done with brikwars rules. The (...) (22 years ago, 20-Apr-03, to lugnet.gaming)

  New Lego Game?

Hi, I was woundering if anyone would be interested in helping me to create a new lego turn-based game (like BrikWars), based (very losely) upon Rainbow 6? The basic idea is a hostage rescue type game where one team is the terrorists, and has a (...) (22 years ago, 19-Apr-03, to lugnet.gaming)

  Re: vehicle mounted Gatling/Vulcan/Chain gun?

(...) Lasers are the generic category for any gun that fires in a straight line (not a Ballistik), doesn't have to be loaded with shells (not a Cannon), and doesn't have explosive rounds (not a Blaster). So large-scale machine guns fall under the (...) (22 years ago, 16-Apr-03, to lugnet.gaming)

  vehicle mounted Gatling/Vulcan/Chain gun?

How would one spec out the gun mentioned above? It isn't a laser or a blaster, and it's certainly not a ballistix. What would it be? Adrian -- (URL) (22 years ago, 16-Apr-03, to lugnet.gaming)

Re: BrikWars Supernatural Rules Bug Fix?

(...) I had sort of implicitly assumed that movement=5*(blox/power). Most objects conform to this already. So, in any case where movement is not otherwise defined, use this. Also, make it a "sanity check" rule. Don't bother with it unless something (...) (22 years ago, 14-Apr-03, to lugnet.gaming)

  Re: Virtual Lego Gaming

(...) Hey Chris, do you need some help? I could get a crew together that knows basic programming and some advanced. Drop me an e-mail if you need any help. ~Evan Butzlaff (22 years ago, 12-Apr-03, to lugnet.gaming)

  Re: Virtual Lego Gaming

(...) Sure. I actually have much of a game designed in scraps and snippets that I will theoretically do some coding for put up on a web site. It will be a human/computer moderated play-by-web turn-based game that combines a civilization-building (...) (22 years ago, 11-Apr-03, to lugnet.gaming)
