Re: Game LUG at GenCon '03 (was: A national (global?) gaming-themed LUG!)

(...) I'm willing to do more than pretend... :-) I could see myself easily doing sutler duty in ESPG with a little coaching, and that struck me as being something that was time consuming and distracting to the main GM. Given the deadline for event (...) (22 years ago, 2-Mar-03, to lugnet.gaming)

Re: Game LUG at GenCon '03 (was: A national (global?) gaming-themed LUG!)

(...) In the spirit of mottos and such, we should also make a "Don't Tread on Me" battle flag... :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) I'm picturing an image of someone dancing around with a 2x4 stuck in their foot. Or maybe we could just print up a bunch of signs (...) (22 years ago, 2-Mar-03, to lugnet.gaming)

Re: Game LUG at GenCon '03 (was: A national (global?) gaming-themed LUG!)

(...) And we can all cheer glug glug glug when a pirate ship is sunk :-) We could probably safely use Play Well as a motto. Frank (22 years ago, 2-Mar-03, to lugnet.gaming)

Re: Game LUG at GenCon '03 (was: A national (global?) gaming-themed LUG!)

(...) The mech game (sorry, too lazy to look up the name right now) would be a fine pick up game. I assume (hmm, seen any donkeys lately...) we can supply the list of GMs for our events later so we could probably still slot Larry in as a GM (...) (22 years ago, 2-Mar-03, to lugnet.gaming)

Re: Game LUG at GenCon '03 (was: A national (global?) gaming-themed LUG!)

(...) I'd love to see a Brick RPG. While it wouldn't be a brick RPG, I'm considering using LEGO to run my college friend's RPG. If I go with that, I'll probably need some help putting together dungeon modules. At this point though, that will be a (...) (22 years ago, 2-Mar-03, to lugnet.gaming)

Re: Game LUG at GenCon '03 (was: A national (global?) gaming-themed LUG!)

(...) In the long-standing tradition of avoiding work by doing other things, I created a Yahoo! group this evening, when I ought to be doing other things. At present, I've only invited the people who have said they can be at GenCon and run events. (...) (22 years ago, 1-Mar-03, to lugnet.gaming)

Re: Game LUG at GenCon '03 (was: A national (global?) gaming-themed LUG!)

Game LUG at GenCon '03 (was: A national (global?) gaming-themed LUG!)

Re: A national (global?) gaming-themed LUG!

(...) I for one would avoid putting 'world' or 'global' in the title, as some people were discussing. If the group isn't localized then just don't put a location. You might as well put 'galaxy-wide.' How about "LEGO-Using Gamers' Network," or (...) (22 years ago, 26-Feb-03, to lugnet.gaming)

Re: LEGO gaming at Gen Con?

(...) One thing we need for the Pirate Game is a bunch of cutters, but we'll also need larger ships, mostly lots of class 2 and class 3 ships. Of course cutters are easy to pack, I can get 11 cutters and a few extra bits into two shoe boxes. Frank (22 years ago, 25-Feb-03, to lugnet.gaming)

Re: A national (global?) gaming-themed LUG!

Hmm, I haven't seen any names that really inspire yet. Some things to consider though: - does it just cover the war type games, or does it cover any brick based game - does it cover official games (such as LEGO Creator) - does it cover computer (...) (22 years ago, 25-Feb-03, to lugnet.gaming)

Re: A national (global?) gaming-themed LUG!
