Hmm, I haven't seen any names that really inspire yet.

Some things to consider though:

IMHO...

- does it just cover the war type games, or does it cover any brick
based game

I think any fan developed brick-based or brick-inspired game would be
approriate to include.  It would give us more options on what to bring to
events, and also attract a bigger group (which I know may or may not be good).

- does it cover official games (such as LEGO Creator)

It could.  I wouldn't mind seeing that official racecar board game at a Con.
It would be good especially for the younger players (as in children).
Although I could live without the official games just as easily, given that
we are not out to represent TLC, and the fan-built games tend to be more
involving for an older audience.

- does it cover computer games

Same answer as the previous.  It could, but doesn't need to.  Are there any
non-official brick-based PC games?

- should it be international or US

International is good to bring everyone together.  If there is a big enough
following, people could branch off and start sub-groups locally.  But if
there is not that big of a following then at least everyone can keep in
touch online and share plans for meetings and Cons.

My inclination is that it includes any gaming which uses the brick, but
not the computer games, and that it is international.

I'm also thinking maybe not trying to be an nifty acronym, and just a
set of words. One thought is "Play Well" (though that might be a little
bit too inside - so perhaps "Leg Godt").

I think it is nice to at least have an easy abbreviation (like LTC) but it
need not be an acronym that spells a word.  Avoiding the actual word Lego is
fine if you want, but I would argue we should alternatively include the word
Plastic, or Brick, or Plastic Brick so that non-AFOLs at Cons have a clue
what a game is about.

2 more of my bricks,
-Hendo

(...) I for one would avoid putting 'world' or 'global' in the title, as some people were discussing. If the group isn't localized then just don't put a location. You might as well put 'galaxy-wide.' How about "LEGO-Using Gamers' Network," or (...) (21 years ago, 26-Feb-03, to lugnet.gaming)
