The spell system got fixed up with the 2001 update and seems to have
overcome the problems suffered by its predecessor. The revised Supernatural
Powers supplement can be found here:
http://www.brikwars.com/rules/2001/2001-superpowers.txt
It's a little involved but you should be able to use it as a basis for
inventing just about any spell effect you could want. And if you want a
spell it doesn't cover, then as always you're encouraged to make up a new
rule or two on your own and run with it.
Since I didn't announce it here earlier (trying to avoid a sudden bandwidth
clog on the site), the BrikWars 2001 text is up and available here:
http://www.brikwars.com/updates/versions.htm
It'll get its own HTML translation someday, but I don't expect that that
project will get underway anytime soon.
Sorry I haven't been keeping up with the newsgroup lately but I've been
killing myself trying to catch back up at school and at work; I got way
behind while I was putting the BricksWest game together. Should be back up
to speed in the next three or four weeks.

| Hey Harry, no problem: I'm a little unclear from your post if you're talking about reading more of the BrikWar rules or other rules in general, but I assume you're talking about BrikWars'. There are quite a few trooper-types in Chapter 7: Military (...) (23 years ago, 25-Mar-02, to lugnet.gaming)
