Re: BrickFest™ PDX 2007 - Brick Bazaar Announcement

(...) Time is almost up! If you need a Brick Bazaar table, and haven't yet reserved one, this is your last chance to do so. Table allocation is happening this weekend, so let Ben or me know ASAP if you'd like a table at the Brick Bazaar and we'll (...) (18 years ago, 16-Mar-07, to lugnet.events.brickfest, FTX)

So, who besindes me predicts that Kubo and Proudlove will be up Friday night and well into the wee hours of Saturday morning building and rebuilding until they each thinks they have the "Fastest Hands in the West"?   BrickFest Preso: Custom Decals - How to make them, and how to print them

Just a heads-up: I'll be giving a presentation at BrickFest to show you how to successfully design decals for printing on a waterslide-decal printer. I'll show you how I designed my Spy Bond torso decals, and German Army torso decals, and show you (...) (18 years ago, 16-Mar-07, to lugnet.events.brickfest) !!

Speed Build Competition (and sorting & steam)

Jon Rasmussen, who has been in PNLTC and its offspring clubs for about 10 years now and who is a very active builder in Wild West, among other themes, is still a lurker here on Lugnet. So I'm posting this stuff for him. :) Jon will be hosting the (...) (...) In the UK train shows (in my experience) are run by clubs, rather than companies set up to running shows as some seem to be in US (correct me if I am wrong). Yes, they are for profit (or at least that the aim!), the profit goes to help offset (...) (18 years ago, 16-Mar-07, to lugnet.events.brickworld, FTX)

Re: Schedule for BrickFest PDX 2007

(...) Hi Matthew and bride, We've just put up the preliminary schedule (subject to change), but it should give you an idea of what we'll be featuring. It's going to be a full set of seminars, looks like! (URL) BrickFest 2007 Schedule> and (URL) (...) (18 years ago, 16-Mar-07, to lugnet.events.brickfest, FTX) !!

(...) Phew! Glad to hear your beautiful and charming bride is at least 15 years old! I second the notion for a Brickfest schedule to be posted. Not sure I can make it, but even if not, I'd love to know what I'm missing. -Brendan (18 years ago, 16-Mar-07, to lugnet.events.brickfest, FTX)

  Schedule for BrickFest PDX 2007

Hey everyone! I'm looking for the schedule of events for Brickfest. I can't seem to pull it up anywhere--so if some nice person would please point me in the right direction, I'd much much obliged.   Re: BrickFest PDX 2007 - who's getting paid?

(...) That is why I said 'of sufficient involvement' and the no hard and fast rules bit you snipped. In the case of a small convention like BV then there simply aren't the funds to let all the volunteers in for free. In that case you have to set the (...)   Re: BrickFest PDX 2007 - who's getting paid?

(...) Not sure I agree there either - speaking as an organiser of Brickvention, all the organisers, helpers, presenters, etc paid registration, it meant the difference between a small loss and a large loss.   Re: Brickworld Announcement - Area Attractions and baseball

  Re: BrickWorld 2007 - who's getting paid?

I would skip out on an event if others were making a (...) (18 years ago, 15-Mar-07, to lugnet.events.brickworld)

  Re: BrickWorld 2007 - who's getting paid?

(...) While I agree in a capitalist sense, I don't agree in a realistic sense. Perhaps it might help if we weren't talking about BrickFest/BrickWorld per se. Or, perhaps if we were talking about them 10 years in the future. I dunno. Anyway, here's (...) (18 years ago, 15-Mar-07, to lugnet.events.brickworld, FTX)

  Re: BrickWorld 2007 - who's getting paid?
