Harold Flies! Worship my Photoshop Skilz!

(URL) Okay, okay, my Photoshop skilz rule Monaco, but that's about it. Actually, there is a little more to the story.... We at the TCLTC have a Thomas the Tank Engine area of our layout, and so when we found out that there were going to be a few new (...)   Re: 50th Gold Bricks

(...) I saw one in the Bellevue brand store last night. They don't seem to be as common as the other three 50th anniversary sets. (...) I have lots of Duplo bricks in regular green. On the other hand, many of the more recent sets (like the 5230 on (...) (19 years ago, 6-Nov-05, to lugnet.duplo, lugnet.color, lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

  50th Gold Bricks

The 50th Anniversary Duplo bucket 4085 would seem to be only available here in Canada - am I correct in this? Its photo didn't exist on the LUGNet guide until I added it and likewise the metallic gold bricks weren't on BrickLink until I added the (...)   Re: What is the largest Duplo set ever made?

(...) Well, we can easily find that for sets for which LUGNET has a piece count. We go to Peeron's Advanced Set Search. . .search with theme DUPLO. . .sort by piece count. . .sort again to go from highest to lowest. . . (URL) like the highest piece (...) (19 years ago, 30-Oct-05, to lugnet.duplo)

What is the largest Duplo set ever made?

By largest, I mean piece-count wise, not necessarily cost. And what is the highest-count bulk Duplo bucket ever released? It would be interesting if they every released a high piece count Duplo fire station or building in the 80's that rivaled the (...) (19 years ago, 30-Oct-05, to lugnet.duplo)

Re: Why is inner rail smooth on Duplo track?

(...) The texture is to improve traction. However, without a differential (which have been tried on trains and failed), one wheel on an axle needs to be able to slip in a curve since the rotational speeds are different for the different radii that (...)   Re: Why is inner rail smooth on Duplo track?

Is it to prevent the toothed drive wheels from skipping? The outer wheel turns more times than the inner as is goes around the curve. Ralph (...) (19 years ago, 4-Jul-05, to lugnet.duplo, lugnet.trains)

Why is inner rail smooth on Duplo track?

My son has spend his allowance on a couple of the new Thomas sets (Percy and James). James comes with one piece of curved track (along with others including a switch). I've noticed that all the Duplo track that's come with these sets has a ribbed (...) (19 years ago, 4-Jul-05, to lugnet.duplo, lugnet.trains, FTX)

Re: Lego to revive Duplo and scrap "Lego Explore"

This was covered in Lego's 2003 annual report. More recently, in Lego's 2004 annual report, they say that Duplo contributed to their operating profit in 2004. The item about the operating profit in 2004 is one of the positive notes in the overall (...) (19 years ago, 24-Jun-05, to lugnet.mediawatch, lugnet.duplo, FTX)

Re: 8 Wide LEGO Thomas! (pics)

(...) Fair enough. I guess what I don't understand is how Thomas could have remained a relative unknown here in the US up until the late 80's. JOHN (20 years ago, 13-May-05, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.duplo, FTX)
