Seems to me they are. Seems to me they're even responding to some of it. Just
because they don't bend to every one of oue whims doesn't mean they aren't
listening.

What do you propose? Storming the castle, putting the executive to the sword and
making a flaming pyre of all the parts you don't like?

So, if I understand this correctly, poeple are going to boycott a perfectly fine
set simply because of one single element out of the hundreds of others in the
set? Seems like an overreaction to me. Unless you build sets and leave them
built forever, I hardly think the disapproval of one element is going to spoil
the enjoyment to be had from every other element in the set.

I don't, and if you really think about it, I don't think you do either.

And in 2003, 2002, 2001, etc. So what's the problem? Buy the sets you like,
don't buy the ones you don't like. This has always been true, even in the 'good
old days'.

There's no such thing as a 'specialised' part, only a limited imagination.

How far back do you want to go? So called specialised parts started coming out
with the first window in the sixties and have continued since then in ever
increasing numbers. If you really like 'old fashioned' Lego, there's nothing
stopping you from only purchasing bulk tubs which still seem to be readily
available.
Personally I couldn't do without them, and I look forward to seeing how people
utilise every new part that comes out. To me, new parts, even the most
'specialised' ones, don't limit creativity, they stimulate it.
