And if you have a grievance against someone, I will reiterate--a politely and
non-accusatory response is a better way of working towards an amicable solution
for all parties involved, than a rant.
Ranting does have its place in the world, but since we're currently in this
'Dear LEGO' section, where we would hope that employees of said company have the
potential to see what we post, it would best serve us if we kept the anti-LEGO
bashing to a minimum, especially if we wanted these TLC employees to continue
reading the postings here.
For if we don't, we just might as well delete this very newsgroup for there will
be no potential of anyone from LEGO to visit this NG.
I'm not stating that we should be 'gushy' and kiss the heinie of TLC. That
said, there are ways of phrasing our displeasure of issues and events which come
across as helpful suggestions, and not accusatory rants. Most of us are adults
here--I don't appreciate being 'scolded' and I'd imagine that TLC workers don't,
either. Why would anyone willingly visit a place where they know they're going
to 'face a scolding'? It's not as if they are paid to see this particular
newsgroup. It's not as if it's in their job description to visit 'Dear LEGO'.
But we know that some do. Guess what? You're pushing them away--the very
people who could influence the production of the very thing you wanted fixed,
you're "pushing out the door"!
Bottom line is, at best, you're not helping the situation, and at worst you're
contributing to the very problem with your rant, for who would visit here to
read constructive criticisms and relay these suggestions to TLC with hostile
postings like that?
Just something for you to consider.
