 Dear LEGO / 2337 (-20)
Re: TLG Does Listen to us. (if not officaly)

Word! Classic Space and town re-makes would be fantastic!!! They could even follow the example of the G.I.Joe accessory packs that issued old accessories in new colors, can you imagine some of your old favorites with new color schemes? It'd be (...) (24 years ago, 8-Aug-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: TLG Does Listen to us. (if not officaly)

(...) Yes, my opinion is, LEGO isn't fully LEGO unless it's all original from the LEGO company with no outside interference. (...) BUT, maybe they think they will make more money if they use some outside licensing in their products, supposedly (...) (24 years ago, 8-Aug-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: TLG Does Listen to us. (if not officaly)

(...) Oh, couldn't agree more. I hope that with the new Potter line, and whatever the future holds, Castle doesn't go by the wayside like Space did for SW. I would be tickled if TLG licensed others' ideas, but continued to pump out their own system (...) (24 years ago, 8-Aug-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: TLG Does Listen to us. (if not officaly)

(...) While that would be kinda neat, I hope they don't get too caught up in licensing other people's ideas, though. They'd be losing the LEGO 'brand' that they've been working hard to establish. I'd much rather see something they came up with on (...) (24 years ago, 8-Aug-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: TLG Does Listen to us. (if not officaly)

(...) Here's an Idea: Classic Space! Or how about this one: Town! Oh well, those are probably fantasy, but here's an interesting idea: How about a printed element (1x2) with a computer screen with the brickshelf logo on it? That would be neat. KL (24 years ago, 8-Aug-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

New theme suggestion - Roman Era

Dear Lego, I think a good idea for Lego would be the Ancient Roman Empire. It could be somewhat historical too (educational?) Santosh PS. And trains! more realistic trains too. (24 years ago, 8-Aug-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: TLG Does Listen to us. (if not officaly)

(...) Well, if that's the case, I've only got 4 words: LORD OF THE RINGS. -Chris (24 years ago, 8-Aug-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

TLG Does Listen to us. (if not officaly)

I wentback to look at some old Dear lego postings and found some intresting ideas, that subsequently got adpaoted by TLC/TLG. Posting titled; Theme Sugesstion dated (Wed2 Dec 1998) suggested Antartic Explorers- 2000 catlouge we have Arctic Posting (...) (24 years ago, 8-Aug-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

  collectible minifig 3-packs

On 16-mar-00, I posted message Western/wild west/160 and it contained the following comments: "... in Lugnet.Starwars, everybody wants Stormtroopers. ... On[e] recent Lugnet posting led me to an e-bay auction of some spacemen sets from the late (...) (24 years ago, 6-Aug-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

  Trains and more trains please!

Keep on coming with those LEGO train sets,I can't get enough of them.Better yet, hire me on to design more sets for you. -Harvey (24 years ago, 6-Aug-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: Lord of the Rings

I agree! _Lord of the Rings_ is such a huge and detailed world, just imagine all the possibilities for mini-figs and playsets! If they do make _Lord of the Rings_ LEGO they would, like you said, have HUGE, HUGE success! (...) (24 years ago, 3-Aug-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: Lord of the Rings

(...) I GREATLY THIRD IT!!! Matt Brooks (24 years ago, 3-Aug-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: Lord of the Rings

(...) I heartily second this. Aaron West (24 years ago, 3-Aug-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

  Lord of the Rings

Dear Lego I would like to make a suggestion that I'm sure has been made here before (but I don't have time to check the archives to see what was said). I think that LEGO should buy the rights for the upcoming "Lord of the Rings" movie. This movie is (...) (24 years ago, 3-Aug-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: Types of service offered for bulk ordering

I think we definitly want that service. I think the dream experience for all of us would be to rummage through their old mould storage room, come out with a bunch of them, and say, "Here: I'd like several hundred of these." :-) Commissioning parts (...)   Re: Superheroes

(...) One problem with building custom "superhero" minifigs is that at least one of the things common to superheroes- a mask- is difficult to get in Lego. There is one Minifig head with it (from the Lego Loco bonus pack), but that's only a red (...) (24 years ago, 24-Jul-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: Superheroes

In lugnet.dear-lego, Adam Howard writes: Note: I am not blasting Adam or criticizing his idea in this post, so please don't jump all over me at my contradicting opinion. End note. I think it's funny that people look to official sets for most things. (...) (24 years ago, 23-Jul-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

  Superheroes

I think Lego should start a series of sets involving superheroes. I think the X-Men would be an excellent bandwagon to jump on. After seeing the movie I'm sure there will be several sequels. But, if those royalties are too high, then the sets could (...) (24 years ago, 23-Jul-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: A Parental Perspective on Juniorisation and Being the Strongest Brand

(...) Not just in "the kid's mind". There are actually relatively few System pieces that fit on top of a Duplo piece. My child tries once in a while, but usually gets frustrated and gives up, because the piece he wanted to put on won't fit, or won't (...)
