 Dear LEGO / 1387 (-20)
  Re: Farlie A

(...) This will most likely get you nowhere, unless, of course, you're trying to get a job. You'll find many discussions concerning the fact that Lego seems to completely refuse to even look at or consider outside designs. 'Course, nothing here (...) (25 years ago, 20-Jan-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: Adult lego sets.

(...) Your 3rd set?! How many do you have in total anyways? *sigh* I just want a 2nd set... :) Bryan (25 years ago, 19-Jan-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: Adult lego sets.

(...) Of course, detaild plans for the alternates are available on the web site, which is nice, because I now have built the Hot Rod (with a few mods), and am working on turning my 3rd set into the Racer ;-) -- | Tom Stangl, Technical Support (...) (25 years ago, 19-Jan-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: Adult lego sets.

(...) You're right. Most parts of the 8448 S3 Super Car II instructions are very easy, especially since they provide plenty of circles and arrows to point out what goes where. But there were a few steps I looked at and wondered why they put so much (...) (25 years ago, 19-Jan-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: Adult lego sets.

(...) One straightforward way to do this would be to reduce the printed materials included with the bricks to Star Wars-style ideas, and possibly stages of construction (especially for Technic sets). Then take the (computer-generated) set of (...) (25 years ago, 18-Jan-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: Adult lego sets.

(...) I have to agree to the comments about instructions. It used to take 20 steps to show how to put a 300-400+ piece model together. Now it seems that there is an instruction step for every other piece. Waaayyy too many steps. I end up building (...) (25 years ago, 18-Jan-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: Adult lego sets.

(...) Heh-heh, no actually the Town Plan (#725) is my most often mentioned set. But the earlier 1961 Junior Constructor (an English Cotswold style manor house) is my holy grail. It was the first model kit not related to the Town Plan system that (...) (25 years ago, 18-Jan-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: Lego-Direct

(...) Hmm... if you are making a minifig scale rocket, wouldn't that be 100,000,000 16x16, or maybe 400,000,000 macaroni bricks, sized 4x4? (In case you want it hollow on the inside?) :) While your at it, I would like 100,000,000 Futuron Minifigs, (...) (25 years ago, 18-Jan-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

How to meet the builders' need.....

I would suggest that you bundle rectangular bricks, arch bricks, column (not just 1x1 round, some 2x2 would be nice), numerous 1x plates (8 studs and longer), technic beams, and a assortment of tiles and hinges as under a new line/theme called (...) (25 years ago, 18-Jan-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: Proposal for new Mgazine. ATTN: Mr B. Justus

In following other magazine leads there might be several different "language" versions and things such as a calender of upcoming events and new releases should be region specific, however core articles should remain constant throughout. What about a (...) (25 years ago, 18-Jan-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

My only desire for LD is that you make available the full spectrum of colors in plate, tiles, and bricks. Looking through some of the web pages it's easy to be fascinated by some of the creations of adult lego fans, but most are within the reach of (...) (25 years ago, 18-Jan-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)
