Hi Thomas, I think the patterns are the same, but the difference may perhaps be explained by the origin of each part: The first is from an early-eighties set, with the common blue background associated to the autoroute (highway, motorway, (...) No confusion needed, just sloppy work of the L.factory. I own about 25 of these plates, both the ones with full print on grey plate, and the ones with just Island print (yellow+green) on blue plate.
