Then not to point this out, but when people sign ‘petitions’, they are usually under the impression that the petition they sign is the one that is going to be received.

Hi David,

the CEO will of course get the original German letter, which - by the way - got signed by far more often than this one here.

That one is written in our mother tongue and therefor superior in language. Since we would give Lugnetters the chance to jump on this train we did an English translation.

That translation is *very* near to German letter, but you have no pointed out a minor mistranslation which is a kind of bad style, when used.

I see no need to restart all this again: if people are even signing the “bad-stylish” letter, they will for sure be willing to subsrcibe the better translation as well.

In case we hand out a translated letter to the CEO, that should of course be the better translation. There is no change in the overall intention of the letter, so we see no need to draw it back now.

Kind Regards,

Ben

By changing the wording of the petition ‘after the people have signed it’, yet still using the same attached names will open you up a whole other ‘kettle o’ fish’!

I’ve got lots of suggestions for how you worded the letter, but my biggest one--if the letter doesn’t fit on one page, revise until it is one page. Try to keep your passion for the color change out of the discussion--because it only makes one view the AFOL community as a bit irrational in the eyes of LEGO.

I have quite a bit of knowledge regarding injection molding, including personally mixing color batches before plastic production. No facts regarding cost of changing back to the old gray have been stated. In your letter, you said some lines used old gray--where are your facts on that statement? If you have the facts, they should be in that letter.

State your facts, then back them up. Don’t make this personal--make it business.
