Hi David,
the CEO will of course get the original German letter, which - by the way - got
signed by far more often than this one here.
That one is written in our mother tongue and therefor superior in language.
Since we would give Lugnetters the chance to jump on this train we did an
English translation.
That translation is *very* near to German letter, but you have no pointed out a
minor mistranslation which is a kind of bad style, when used.
I see no need to restart all this again: if people are even signing the
bad-stylish letter, they will for sure be willing to subsrcibe the better
translation as well.
In case we hand out a translated letter to the CEO, that should of course be the
better translation. There is no change in the overall intention of the letter,
so we see no need to draw it back now.

By changing the wording of the petition after the
people have signed it, yet still using the same attached names will open you
up a whole other kettle o fish!
