Re: Open letter to the CEO of the LEGO Company / Call for discussion!

(...) Whereas I agree everyone should have the right to express thier opinion--that said, the 'spamming' of every major NG at LUGNET was, in my humble opinion, taking that 'chip on the shoulder' just a tad too far. Post colour issues in colour, and (...) (20 years ago, 19-Jan-05, to lugnet.color)

Re: Suggestions required for medium sized sets with lots of grey

(...) SNIPPY of list Hello Steve (And others), Thanks a lot! I really appreciate this. I guess I should have mentioned that I was looking for regular parts (like 1 x x etc) too. But this was still a great help. Legoswami Samarth (20 years ago, 19-Jan-05, to lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.color, FTX)

(...) Disagree - because I can NOT pretend to know how to run a multi-billion(?) dollar company that has existed longer than I have. Steve Hassenplug (20 years ago, 19-Jan-05, to lugnet.color, lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: Why Technic Pin 1/2 (part #4274) blue ?

(...) I completely agree with Jennifer's statement, we like the colours when it suits us, but not when it doesn't. Unlike bley, I think this is a problem that only creeps slowly into the minds of technic builders as we can slowly deplete our stocks (...)   Re: Open letter to the CEO of the LEGO Company / Call for discussion!

(...) Just two points: a) The issue seems to be important enought to pop up again, and again, and again. If the topic was unimportant, it would have died by now. b) if you avoid LUGNET, how did you manage to answer anyway? Disagreeing with other (...) (20 years ago, 19-Jan-05, to lugnet.color)

Re: Open letter to the CEO of the LEGO Company / Call for your signs! (no discussions here please)

(...) Hi David, the CEO will of course get the original German letter, which - by the way - got signed by far more often than this one here. That one is written in our mother tongue and therefor superior in language. Since we would give Lugnetters (...) (20 years ago, 19-Jan-05, to lugnet.color, lugnet.dear-lego, FTX)

(...) Hm. I would agree to this letter if it were of a largely different tone. Lots of stuff I disagree with or would drastically change in wording: (...) If you're looking for more support, I'd suggest re-wording the letter much less harshly. (...) (20 years ago, 19-Jan-05, to lugnet.color, lugnet.dear-lego)

(...) I appreciate your addressing this, Ben. Having read earlier drafts, I didn't think the intent was to represent all AFOLs, and wanted to make sure it was addressed. A lot of people would like to say things about grey-->bley change that would be unprintable in a public forum like lugnet. I'm just glad that most of them have kept a civil attitude so far, and I, for one, appreciate their restraint. As far as (...) (20 years ago, 19-Jan-05, to lugnet.color, lugnet.dear-lego)

Two words: Blay = Blyecch I'm sure that I'll eventually buy some of the 2004 sets -- just because I'm a die-hard Space and Star Wars collector -- but it'll be with a certain lack of enthusiasm, and I'll try to swap out as many of the blay parts as I (...) I have to agree with the main reason why this letter was created. The old color of grey was a lot less painful on the eyes, it even blended in quite well with the new colors. It certainly is a lot more difficult to tell one brick apart from another. (...) (20 years ago, 19-Jan-05, to lugnet.color, lugnet.dear-lego)
