Alex,
No, that comment isnt pointed at just you. The castle community has become
plagued with lots of members who participate sporatically at best. While I
understand the callings of real life, it is important that the people who
participate are with it enough to get it going and keep it going.
I could ring off a nearly endless list of people who are active for one
month, then disappear for three, then appear again.
|
Hmm, I sincerely hope Im not topping that list, but I have this feeling
that Im beginning to, so I guess Im in for an explanation as to my
abscence, eh? Just recently (about a month and ah alf ago) I began
attending my scheduled college courses, so that meant fulfilling student
loan payment.
|
Loan payment (spits in disgust).
|
Anyway, Ive returned here to get a decent start at this...with
whatever free time I have, I might as well contribute where this
is possible.
|
Perfect wording.
|
Heres a first, just a few questions: (probably reiterative,
however Im typing this into the late night hours.
|
Maby- i havnt read em yet so ill have to see...
|
1, Are we preserving the accounts of previous balladeers in
an archival page of some sort? Since I understand pawel is
probably at the reins of this project now (from what I read in
under a half hour) there seems to be some momentum to preserve
what is left, but create a more inviting atmosphere.
|
Yes, the IOM and the old CW are put in an archive page i would think. Not as the
main attraction, but so someone can see the founding stones.
|
2. Are we basing CW on a RPG oriented/ storytelling environment,
or will there be stories contributed on a voluntary basis? If so,
are events such as the gathering scheduled once again appear for
the community?
|
As i have been trying to make clear, CQ is NOT a game you sit down at a table to
play! It is an online multiplayer RPG. Please search my name and find my
example. And also, i have not trying to make CW CQ. What i was saying was theres
CW, for storytelling, balladeering and so on. Then there is the mirrior project,
CQ, for the people who want some uncertanty in their adventureing, and in their
kingdom-making etc.
|
3. What sort of help are you looking for in maintaining the
site? I might be of assistance with writing out reports of
events or drawing up a newspaper section (which would basically
constitute a one page weekly article which summarizes the recent
major events at CW, whether it be balladeer stories or rule
changes, character deaths, etc.)
|
Weekly newsletter sounds good to me.
|
4. If a storytelling environment is planned out, will community
members be given an option of creating a chain styled storyline
(in which one person continues from where the other left off?
I know its unlikely, but it sounds interesting :)
|
Well, that would be interesting. And, my friend, youve just helped me complete
the section on how to create storys in CQ.
|
Well, theres a start at least.
|
True.
Dash, over and in
Uhh......maby ill read the making a webpage book now...
