(...) we have the freedom to pursue free trade! Come, buy things! :) Feel free to include Bricktannia East into your story as a passing reference any time you like.   Re: IOM: Bricktannia East website updated

(...) [Snip] (...) Dave, The site looks really nice. Boy, you're going to have a little metropolis before my expedition is even on the Isle (although we're on the way!). Mind if we come and visit? Actually, that does bring to mind some good (...) (23 years ago, 5-Dec-01, to lugnet.castle.org.cw)

Re: Update: Bertar and the IOM

(...) Thanks, Pawel! I just have to keep straight in my mind the separate motivations for the different sub-groups in the expedition party, sometimes easier said than done! I'm still working on getting some pictures, but I'm somewhat limited to (...) (23 years ago, 5-Dec-01, to lugnet.castle.org.cw)

Re: IOM: Bricktannia East website updated

(...) Lenny, Thanks for the compliments and the criticisms! Both are very welcome. Regarding the lack of primary industry, you have hit the nail quite on the head. In order to compensate for such a lack so early in the town's days, it relies on a (...) (23 years ago, 5-Dec-01, to lugnet.castle.org.cw)

Re: IOM: Bricktannia East website updated

DUDE! i love your site! i love the story behind it and also the idea of building a city to settle straight out without all the exploring and whatnot. my only gripe is that you turn to secondary industry and tertiary industry before primary industry.   Re: IOM: Bricktannia East website updated

(...) Dave, I'm very impressed with the progress on your site - it's like a complete sub-kingdom of the IOM! I really like the layout - very clear, very specific, and very easy to work with. What are we to expect next? -- Pawel (23 years ago, 4-Dec-01, to lugnet.castle.org.cw)

  Re: castle world pics

Re: Lord Bertar and the Isle of Mist

Hey Tony, (...) Thanks! I think it makes things a little more interesting when there's some potential for conflict or separate agendas within the members of the expedition (I like the way Sorjin has his own agenda, and his two hired assistants just (...)   Re: IOM: Sorjin's CBN Special Report

Instead of expensive diffuser filters try using something you have like shiny baking pans, or aluminum foil smoothed out over a flat surface, like a book. Then bounce the swing arm lamp light off of those. It will certainly cut the glare, and (...) (23 years ago, 27-Nov-01, to lugnet.castle.org.cw)

Re: Lord Bertar and the Isle of Mist

Hey Shiri, (...) I remember your compliments on my initial posting way back when the IOM saga began ((URL) I was wondering if anyone would remember that, since it's been so long since I've added anything to Bertar's story. As for Galith, I can't get (...) (23 years ago, 27-Nov-01, to lugnet.castle.org.cw)

Re: IOM: Sorjin's CBN Special Report

You could always buy some diffuser screens from your local photography shop to cut the glare off those swingarm lamps. Don't know how expensive that would be, though. Adrian -- www.brickfrenzy.com (...) (23 years ago, 27-Nov-01, to lugnet.castle.org.cw)

Re: IOM: Sorjin's CBN Special Report

(...) Yes, perhaps if I got something bright enough then I could point it across the room to get more indirect lighting. As it is, either of the two swingarms will glare really badly if I point them where I really need the light. That's why I still (...) (23 years ago, 27-Nov-01, to lugnet.castle.org.cw)

Re: IOM: Sorjin's CBN Special Report

i think the thing you really need is more light.. i'd shoot for 100-watt or brighter (and the equivalent in fluorescent). this is why professional photoers spend thousands on complicated expensive strobe lights and such, in an effort to match the (...)
