    Ninja stuff —James Stacey
Quick Question - Do people think of Ninja LEGO as Castle LEGO or as a seperate range. I know they are in the 60xx range but I dont consider them as real Castle EGO - discuss :) -- James Stacey www.minifig.co.uk (23 years ago, 23-May-01, to lugnet.castle)

        Re: Ninja stuff —Joel Jacobsen
(...) James - Sure! They're castles, they're just not "European" castles. Different uses for different cultures and all that, but I do consider them a part of "Castle". Just not one that I got into very deeply. I have 3-4 of the smaller sets but (...) (23 years ago, 23-May-01, to lugnet.castle)

        Re: Ninja stuff —James Aldrich
(...) Not So Quick Answer I think that depends largely on how one views or uses LEGO in general. For me, all sets are parts and minifigs are the focus. I find no play value in the buildings and such; they are parts with which to construct minifig (...) (23 years ago, 23-May-01, to lugnet.castle)

        Re: Ninja stuff —Bruce Schlickbernd
(...) Ninja has a real castle, armor, swords, helmets, cavalry, bows - why wouldn't it be real Castle? No, it's not medieval Europe, so it won't necessarily be of interest to everyone. I thought it a step up after Dragon Masters and Fright Knights, (...) (23 years ago, 23-May-01, to lugnet.castle)

         Re: Ninja stuff —James Stacey
Ok lets rephrase this. Obviously they are castles - that is self evident :) do you however consider it part of the Castle Lego line or part of the Castle Ninja line Certainly is better than fright knights. "Bruce Schlickbernd" (...) (23 years ago, 23-May-01, to lugnet.castle)

         Re: Ninja stuff —Bruce Schlickbernd
(...) I have to turn this around and ask do you consider Dark Forest to be part of the Castle Lego line, or the Castle Dark Forest line? I mean, there isn't a castle in Dark Forest, but there is in Ninja. What you are really hedging around is the (...) (23 years ago, 23-May-01, to lugnet.castle)

         Re: Ninja stuff —Dave Schuler
(...) Hey, that reminds me: when did man-portable gunpowder weapons come about in Asia? That would seem a suitable, though arbitrary, way to determine if Ninja "fits" with Castle. I suspect this has been hashed-out here before... Dave! (23 years ago, 23-May-01, to lugnet.castle)

        Re: Ninja stuff —Matt Brooks
(...) I consider the Ninja sets to be part of the Castle line. Not only are the sets GREAT for parts (LOVE the stone facade) and minifigs, but they give a whole new idea to ornamentation, realized in Lego. I also like the way they are put together. (...)         Re: Ninja stuff —John Carroll
(...) Well, when Ninja was released there were no new castle sets released. So yes it could be considered castle. of course ninjas and knights were from different time periods and parts of the world. a ninja castle could not be just down the river (...)         Re: Ninja stuff —Jeff Thompson
(...) Well, they're castles, they feature guys in armor with swords on horseback, they're in the 60xx range and are shipped to toy stores in boxes marked 'castle' -- so, they're Castle LEGO. :^) But, they're not european castle LEGO. So I consider (...) (23 years ago, 23-May-01, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.space)

        Re: Ninja stuff —Kung-Khoon Quah
(...) The Ninja Theme was what got me into the Castle Theme and I am still a die-hard ninja fan. Certainly I am not impressed with the offerings in the Ninja Theme and the structures but I can say the minifigs are very well done and the specialized (...)         Re: Ninja stuff —Jimmy Park
(...) I consider them to be real Castle Lego. If fantasy-oriented sets like Fire Breathing Fortress and Fright Knights is considered Castle, then there's plenty of room for Ninjas. My current storyline involves the Ninja forces invading the rest of (...) (23 years ago, 25-May-01, to lugnet.castle)
