Jeff - Thank you so much for the info. I checked out all three suggestions and narrowed it down to either 6086 or 6082 I know that the baseplate is the exact same as in 6082 but can't see the ramp in the 6086 picture but you say it's the same base (...) (25 years ago, 4-Dec-99, to lugnet.castle)

I like the "technic pins" approach. In my as yet unfinished, and shelved for some 17 months now, massive grey station project, I used these. The station splits into three pieces along carefully planned fault lines. These lines run up the window (...) (25 years ago, 4-Dec-99, to lugnet.castle)
