Jeff - Thank you so much for the info. I checked out all three suggestions and
narrowed it down to either 6086 or 6082 I know that the baseplate is the exact
same as in 6082 but can't see the ramp in the 6086 picture but you say it's
the same base plate? If it is that must be the one I have because the dragon
sheilds are the same. I also have figures with lion shields, however not like
the lion shields in the dark lords set. They are profiles of fancy lion
bodies. I have many pirates and pirate boats in addition to wolfpack figures
and accessories. I can't believe the amount of legos were in that tub for only
$12.00. This is so exciting and you all are so much help. If you have any
further info let me know and I will keep you posted. I'm headed back over to
brickshelf to see if I can get some instruction. I'm sorry, I think I posted
this note the wrong way. I hope you can read it...Thanx!

I just recently purchased a 10 gallon bucket full of lego sets at a garage
sale (for only $12.00!) for my two young children. Problem is-no instructions
to tell me what I have. It looks like I have two castles, two boats with • hulls
and motor capability and much of the "City" type sets. The castles could
possibly be the Dark Lords or Black Knight set-ups. I tried calling Lego to
get instructions, however they don't have them both. The sheilds for the
figures have either lions or dragons on them. Can anyone help me help my
kids?? Thanks

The shields with the lions would be the the Royal Knight sets, I think.

The shields with dragons on them either go back to the Black Knight
sets or the Dragon Master sets, most likely.  On the bigger shields, are the
dragons blue, or green?

The easiest way to narrow them down would be if you can describe the
big green baseplates that the castles are made to sit upon.

My guess is that you either found a 6086, Black Knight's Castle (aka the
Dungeon Master's Castle), which you can see here:

http://www.lugnet.com/fibblesnork/lego/guide/castle/set/6086-1.html

(it has a square, 32 by 32 stud baseplate that is shaped like a green hill
with a pit in the middle)

Or, you found 6090, the Royal Knight Castle, which you can see here:

  http://www.lugnet.com/fibblesnork/lego/guide/castle/set/6090-1.html

Which has a bigger baseplate, 32 studs by something, and a ramp up
the middle leading in,

Or the 6082 fire breathing fortress, which you can see here:

http://www.lugnet.com/fibblesnork/lego/guide/castle/set/6082-1.html

which has the same baseplate as 6086, but it's printed in slightly
different (darker) colors.

Go look at those URLs and you can decide if the figures shown and the
baseplates shown match the sets you have -- and then you can go
to www.brickshelf.com to find instructions for these sets, or ask
someone to make copies for you of the instructions.  Other identifying
characteristics would be if you found any barding (horse-armor)
elements to fit on the horses, if you found any dragons, and what minifigs
did you find (any blue wizards?  any witches?  A king with a shiny
crown?)

What fun!  It's fun to find a mystery box of pieces.  I hope you
can figure out which castles you bought, and have fun trying to
build them.  Let us know how this turns out.
