A while back, I posted my web site out here on Lugnet, http://legobuilders.com
I hardly received any response to my posting except for people yelling at me
and pointing me to the "fair play rules" on Lego.com.
Worse than that, someone EVEN thought that they would take matters into
their own hands, thinking they were some lawyer GOD of Lego do and don't
do... and contacted Lego directly complaining about my usage of the word
Lego in my domain name.
None-the-less to say, my site is still up.

That's kinda hard to say as far as the domain goes-- I can definitely say
that if I were Lego, I'd probably want you to change the domain, since
assumedly, you're not a business (applies for the .com part, really), and
then there's the potential for copyright schtuff. And that's probably
something that a court would have to decide, as I don't think there's any
real active and solid legislation on the issue right now... Chances are if
Lego saw it, they'd ask you politely to change the domain name, and then
(whether you did or didn't) promptly shut up. I doubt it's enough of a
concern to them (since you're not a competitor or whatever, and estimated
loss on their part is MINIMAL if existant) for them to instigate any legal
action. Heck, thanks to the amount of police-ing they'd need to do, they may
not even contact you... dunno... Really it's just a courtesy thing, not
strictly legal as of yet.

Which brings me to the point of
this post:
I was so disappointed about the response to my web site (after all the hard
work I put into it) that I basically stopped working on it.  So, here is my
question, did anyone like it at all that I should continue working on it;
the stories, personalities, places, etc.?  If you would like to see more of
my work or the next chapters in my stories, please post a response to this
or contact me directly at brian.kasprzyk@westgroup.com

As Pawel pointed out, you got plenty of feedback on Lugnet-- and being
spotlighted is really the icing on the cake :) But if you're concerned about
feedback, check the stats on your site (if you can). What's really cool is
when you see LOTS of people hitting your site and following lots of links
around your pages. That's really when you can tell that people are
interested... And if you're the one actually running your web-server, you
can also check the HTTP_REFERER to see if anyone's linked to your site, too.
(Well, ok, just to see if people are FOLLOWING those links at least :)

As for myself, I actually really liked a lot of the designs you put up (the
wizard's tower best, I think), although the only one I think I commented on
was the house... I didn't actually read the stories though-- although I have
yet to do that on a lot of sites... I need to catch up :)
