  Lego Web page

A while back, I posted my web site out here on Lugnet, (URL) hardly received any response to my posting except for people yelling at me and pointing me to the "fair play rules" on Lego.com. Worse than that, someone EVEN thought that they would take (...) (23 years ago, 30-Apr-01, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Lego Web page

(...) I for one appreciated your web sight! You have the details in the e-mail I sent you. And I do believe that we agree about should be done with those who ‘assume’ to know trademark law or copyright infringement, and thus act upon their (...) (23 years ago, 30-Apr-01, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Lego Web page

(...) Brian, Let's look at your posts: (URL) what I can see, it got a double highlight and 14 messages. Your other post also got double highlights: (URL) and had 24 messages. If you ask around, that is very good. So what seems to be the problem ... (...) (23 years ago, 30-Apr-01, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Lego Web page

(...) Thanks for asking! I didn't have any complaints about the house I posted. I was very happy with that. What I wasn't happy about was when I posted my actual website. I know there was positive feedback 'posted' on Lugnet, but Lugnet doesn't (...) (23 years ago, 30-Apr-01, to lugnet.castle)

(...) Brian, sorry to hear that you've stopped working on your site. You and Andy had a good thing going with what you were doing and you seemed really enthusiastic about the whole project. People did respond saying how much they loved what you did (...) (23 years ago, 30-Apr-01, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Lego Web page

(...) I doubt it. Most of us care a lot more about the content of your site than about some legal mumbo-jumbo. I for one could care less about anything other than your creations. If someone wants to flame you via e-mail, who cares? (...) Highlights (...) (23 years ago, 30-Apr-01, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Lego Web page

(...) That was probably over the line, but all the people "yelling" at you were trying to look out for you. Ultimately you have to make your own decision about the risk level, but that domain name does fit a pattern that LEGO legal has acted on in (...) (23 years ago, 30-Apr-01, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Lego Web page

(...) Well, Brian, I think people (if they were not lawyers) were just trying to warn you, since people *have* been contacted by the LEGO Company about their URLs. e.g. Suzanne Rich had to move her old site to a new location (now www.baseplate.com). (...) (23 years ago, 30-Apr-01, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Lego Web page

(...) Personnally, I think it is one of the better websites. Not for its design, but for the creations in it. I just went through almost all of the major buildings and they all look great. One question, how did you make the little gargoyles (sp?) (...) (23 years ago, 30-Apr-01, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Lego Web page

(...) That's kinda hard to say as far as the domain goes-- I can definitely say that if I were Lego, I'd probably want you to change the domain, since assumedly, you're not a business (applies for the .com part, really), and then there's the (...) (23 years ago, 1-May-01, to lugnet.castle)

Richard You make some great points in the message to which this is a reply to. As Brian's co-creator I would like to say that you prefectly understand our feelings about this matter.   Re: Lego Web page

Nathan Thanks for the support. Brian and I both really appreciate it. It was just very disappointing in my mind how TLC attempted to handle the whole thing when it just wasn't that big of a deal. On a postive note, I'm excited to hear that some (...) (23 years ago, 4-May-01, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.general)
