Re: Now I have a dilemna...

(...) You got yours? Mine haven't shown up yet! I think I ordered mine before you did, too, based on when you posted (grumble, sigh) J (25 years ago, 17-Feb-00, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Pawel's site

(...) that's (...) Well, that's true... I don't see why the link goes to Pawel's older site, though. Pawel, you should add a link to your main page (at least on the page featured there) because a lot of your cool stuff (Gryphon's Nest, Devil's Gap, (...) (25 years ago, 17-Feb-00, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Viking Hats

(...) hats (...) Not to quibble... I lied, I am quibbling... Vikings didn't have horns on their helmets. It's a myth, propogated by Wagnerian operas. Or the Pork Industry. A "realistic" LEGO Viking helmet would be more in line with the (...) (25 years ago, 17-Feb-00, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.western)

Re: [CW][OT-FUN] sound tracks (was: Casting Castle World)

OK, for the past couple of weeks I've been noticing how songs fit into my storyline. After Jeff suggested casting, I couldn't help sticking this in. I can't give too many details or specific songs because most of the storyline is a surprise... but (...) (25 years ago, 17-Feb-00, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Pawel's site

(...) Thanks for your comments ... I think I did at the bottom of my old page (added a link that is). -- pn (25 years ago, 17-Feb-00, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: [CW][OT-FUN] Casting Castle World

(...) Hmmm... I can't think of too many actors/actresses who'd fit some of these roles very well. I'd probably go for Unknowns... But for the fun of it, let's see what I can come up with. :) ~ Auld Dragon - I have no idea. ~ Emrys Wynn - Harrison (...) (25 years ago, 17-Feb-00, to lugnet.castle)

Informal review of 6038: Wolfpack Renegades

Upon hearing that the Lego Outlets had 6038s, many people rushed to buy them. I, too was among them, bought three of these, and I'm not disappointed... The set features a carraige, two wolfpack minifigs, many weapons and a 'treasure'. I have to say (...) (25 years ago, 17-Feb-00, to lugnet.reviews, lugnet.castle)

  Re: Viking Hats

(...) Either old helmet would work, I believe, if you cut it. You'd want to cut it right at the top of the face-opening part, leaving a peaked cap. Hmmm... I may have to try this... FTR, I'm not expert either, this is just from memories of pics in (...) (25 years ago, 18-Feb-00, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.western)

  Re: Viking Hats

(...) Eric, you are completely right. No horns on Viking helmets, historically speaking. The Celts, on the other hand, sometimes did have horns. The Viking helmets I've seen were most like the classic Castle 'vader' helmets, conical and with a (...) (25 years ago, 18-Feb-00, to lugnet.castle)

Re: [CW][OT-FUN] sound tracks (was: Casting Castle World)

  Re: Viking Hats

(...) ;-) (...) Hmm. I've never heard of this, but I don't know anything about Vikings. That's pretty interesting... But like I said, I'm not so much into Vikings. I like the traditional Euro- style better... If I would ever make Vikings, I'd look (...) (25 years ago, 18-Feb-00, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.western)

  Re: [CW][OT-FUN] Casting Castle World

(...) Like Jet Li? (...) Oh. Heh. How about Chow-Yun Fat? Although his action tends more to the 'acrobatic gun-fu' style, he's proven himself to be an excellent actor. (I cannot recommend _Anna and the King_ enough. Jodie Foster and Chow-Yun Fat (...) (25 years ago, 18-Feb-00, to lugnet.castle)

Re: [CW][OT-FUN] sound tracks (was: Casting Castle World)

  HawkLord has an update

Hello, everyone! I gave the address for my new page for Lego creations in my Survey reply, and I see that several of you have already taken a look at it. Thanks for the visit, I just updated my page with lots of new images. I'm afraid that they (...) (25 years ago, 18-Feb-00, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Informal review of 6038: Wolfpack Renegades

(...) Quiver. As for the LEGO bow being a longbow...well...kin...ortamaybe. Its hard to tell with selective compression. The English longbow was as tall as the user - much too large to be used from horseback (1) - but the WW Indians don't seem to (...) (25 years ago, 18-Feb-00, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Viking Hats

(...) Removing the 'flare' from a 'vader' helm would make an acceptable nasal helm, much like those used by Vikings and Normans alike. Wow, cool! I can't write long (multitudes of homework) but that looks really nice! Anyone have an extra yellow parrot so I can make that cool staff? ;) -Shiri (25 years ago, 18-Feb-00, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: HawkLord has an update

(...) Its a great start! I like all your different mages! I'd suggest when you scan the minifigs, you make a fram and stand them on it. That is how I scanned my minifigs (see the link at the end of the message). Keep up the good work! Jeff "You (...) (25 years ago, 18-Feb-00, to lugnet.castle)
