Re: The first Mobile Medieval Market shop! With Elephant!

Hey Nathan, Sorry I didn't reply sooner, I was out of town this weekend. (...) That is why I posted this quickly. I afraid someone would beat me to it! (...) I've uploaded 2 new picures: (2 URLs) to my Brickshelf folder: (URL) The first picture shows the new braided sling on the trebuchet and the second is a close-up of just the sling.   Summer Break

Hi everyone, I am just writing to say that this summer I will not be around lugnet much because of limited internet access. I might not be able to post and respond to discussion at .castle much. I'll catch up with everyone in the fall. Ben (21 years ago, 19-May-03, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Trebuchets

(...) That's where my trebuchet wouldn't work, that darned sling! The shape of the trebuchet was right and I used two weight bricks for ballast, but it was the sling that stumped me! Any pics of the new sling? Nathan Lord Of The LEGO (21 years ago, 19-May-03, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Revenant Tree and Direwolves

I love those wolves! Like somebody already said, that is truly the best use the wolf head I've ever seen, even better than a werewolf minifig. And they're so simple, I love it. I like the detail to the back feet giving them claws with the 1x1 clip. (...) (21 years ago, 19-May-03, to lugnet.castle)

Sadly, it has been a long time since I last posted to the castle.org.cw group. And most of you probably wouldn't know that I am a LEGO Castle fan and builder unless you went to BrickFest 2000. 2000 (URL) year BrickFest dedicates a room to the Castle (...)   Re: Trebuchets

As I mentioned I wanted to do in my other post, I've changed to a braided sling pocket and it made a big difference, both in ease of setup and distance. It now throws about 6 feet. Time to see what sling length and end hook gives the best (...) (21 years ago, 18-May-03, to lugnet.castle)

New (and old) MOCs: Church, castle interior and more

  Re: Trebuchets

I've only gotten it to throw a few feet with the soccer ball. The mini-figs can spit farther! An area that needs serious attention is the sling pocket.   Re: Trebuchets

I'm glad you liked the siege weapons site. I found it when I was building my catapult. I've started doing more historical research when I build. Not that I'm all that accurate in my MOCs, but I do get some great ideas that way! Stephen (21 years ago, 17-May-03, to lugnet.castle)

(...) Lets not get in to an debate here, but every other animal is in no way close to true. Have you seen any farm animals? There is lots to add, and unless there is good reason, I doubt if we'll ever see a wolf. Jeremy (21 years ago, 17-May-03, to lugnet.castle)
