Hi all-

dont know what it should contain. Could any one direct me to a site with plenty
of lego castle village pics?

I'm sure there is pics out there...my mind is a blank with that one...

i need some Ideas as to what to build.

Well, I was looking at an encyclopaedia and was looking at a "Late Midieval
Castle"...it had the keep to one side of the castle, surrounded by walls
inside these walls had a residence, hall, inner court, and a barracks.
Note: the main keep was its own entity to the side.

Outside the walls (inner walls), held an even larger outer court (surrounded
by another set of walls)...this contained the chapel, stables, storehouses,
and shops...

(not shown...) but I assume that outside the castle held the farms / houses
where the peasants lived.

I already
know ill build a blacksmith shop and a bakery, but thats it. (I'm thinking that
the village will be around the same size as my castle, four baseplates large
with a wall around the perimeter. Is tan or green a better color for a village?

I have lots of tan half plates from Ft. Legoredo and other west sets.
Also , what is the best way to store legos? in one large bucket or what.

Well, besides a blacksmith shop and bakery, the usual tavern and a chapel
(depending on how "religious" you want your monarch to be), a market place
might also be good....

.
P.S. to all you digital camera-less. there is hope! at most photo developing
places you can get a picture CD instead of photo prints. You just pop the CD
into your computer and Presto, you can upload them to bricklink. It costs about
$5 extra, but, in my case, if you have no Digital camera, Its you're best bet.

Yes, that is a very good way to get your pictures digitized.  The only
problem I have with that is the pictures tend to be scanned in at ultra
high resolution, so your audience has to wait a long time to download your
images if they are using dial-up.  Also, the upload time is fierce.
