LEGO influence in the design of Helm's Deep?

Greetings, I finally saw The Two Towers on the weekend. I couldn't help but think that the designer(s) of Helm's Deep had been strongly influenced by LEGO. After all, someone had put what looked liked a pair of BURPs outside the wall: apparently (...) (22 years ago, 29-Jan-03, to lugnet.castle)

  Dark green minifig, NBA

In set 3562, NBA figures, the Payton fig is in solid dark green color (like the Slytherin shield). Now that TLC has started using this color, might it be that we will be seeing more normal bricks in this cool color?!? By the way, the dark green legs (...)
