There has to be an easier way.

Is there a way to drag a part from the part window into the model, and have it put in the same location of the previous part? Every time I drag a part into the overhead view, it ends up at z=0. -John Van (24 years ago, 13-Oct-00, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

If you want, I can point out the pertinant sections of the LDView code which deal with this. I ran into similar problems, but managed to get the following behavior: 1.
